Kavery Polytechnic College, Salem, was started in 1998 and is a renowned technical college situated at M Kalipatti Post, Mecheri, Mettur Taluk, Salem District, Tamil Nadu. This affiliated college, authorised by the All India Council of Technical Education, has the major speciality of Diploma in Engineering with a wide variety of engineering specialisations. Located across an area of 5 acres, this college has a total enrolment capacity of 1789 students and consists of 116 faculty members. The Kavery Polytechnic College has a vision of offering you a varied number of technical specialisations Our college currently offers 15 courses and 1 degree programme.

College is our responsibility towards education; the college strives in order to gain facilities that enable students to achieve their educational goals and objectives. It also has accommodation facilities for male and female outstation students through the two distinct hostels. The boys’ hostel is situated close to the campus and consists of comfortably furnished rooms, clean and tasty food, service and amenities such as internet, study rooms, and playing fields. The girls hostel is located within the campus; the security measures are practiced and the hostels are under the supervision of lady members. 

At present, the Kavery Polytechnic College admits 15 diploma courses, all of which are for full-time study. Annual intake capacity is comparatively high in the college, with a total number of seats sanctioned for admission as per different programmes (1789). Among the efficient courses the institution provides, it offers a diploma in mechanical engineering with three hundred students’ intake, a diploma in electrical and electronics engineering with two hundred and eighty students’ intake and a diploma in computer engineering with one hundred and twenty students intake. Some of these specialised programmes include the Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, the Diploma in Automobile Engineering and the Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
