At present, there are about 55 students residing in this hostel to enable students to do intense study. college library has an extensive collection of 25000 books, most of which may be very old publications In addition to this, it has journals and periodicals, new and old. For all the academic and cultural programmes, the college has employed the Anantha Ramakrishna Hall, also used for seminars and examinations.  This multi purpose hall in the Meena Sundaram Block was formally opened by Mr A Sivasailam, Chairman of Amalgamations Ltd. The institution also avails sporting equipment and sporting amenities, hence making the balanced development of the learners a priority. Also, for the enhancement of the other forms of access, the college has also incorporated in good IT facilities in anticipation to the technological era alongside continued ardent emphasis on Sanskrit education.

The institution currently offering the Madras Sanskrit College provides two main courses that are intended to equip the student with all-round knowledge in Sanskrit, including language and literature. The BA Sanskrit Siromani Madhyama is a three-year full-time undergraduate course and the MA Sanskrit Siromani is a two-year full-time postgraduate course.
