Vastu Kala Academy, Delhi was started in 1993 under the banner of Institute for Socialist Education With specialization in architecture. This affiliated college in Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, is located in the Institutional Area, New Delhi and is approved by the Council of Architecture. Situated on a compact 1-acre campus, Vastu Kala Academy offers two specialized programs: 5 years B.Arch and two years Master of Architectural Urban Design programs. The academy currently has a total of 266 learners and 14 members of staff to ensure that the learning process is streamlined. Institute is equal for both boys and girls from different parts of the world and allowing them to follow their dreams to become architect.

Vastu Kala Academy has sufficient teaching resources and facilities to ensure that student get the best in their course study. The campus includes modern studio and lecture theater facilities as well as specific laboratories that include a computer laboratory, survey laboratory, material laboratory and climate laboratory. These are facilities in architecture intend to provide real like experience and practical knowledge needed in the course of architectural study. The academy’s library is well stocked with books and other architectural references and The provisions of periodicals too. This sector is for sports which also acts as a sports complex for the students so that they can be able to modify their repellants. The institute offers a focused curriculum with two primary courses: a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) and a Master of Architecture (M.Arch) in Urban Design is offered to students. The B.Arch program is a five years full time course with the annual intake capacity of forty students and the M.Arch program is a two years full time course and has the annual intake of twenty students. Both these courses are focused on delivering strong architectural education in accordance to the guidelines of the Council of Architecture. The overall admission capacity to a course is 60 to keep the student teacher ratio to a manageable scale and provide individual attention to each student of the academy.

Admission at Vastu Kala Academy is extremely selective and on the basis of merit only. Candidates who want to apply in B.Arch should have passed 10+2 examination with minimum 50% marks and have Mathematics as a compulsory subject. Further, the aspirants are expected to take the National Aptitude Test in Architecture better known as NATA also. For B.Arch courses, the academy also considers scores received in the Joint Entrance Examination (Main). Most of these entrance exams do occur at the initial part of the year, and the results of the tests are usually released soon after.
