Vijay College of Pharmacy, situated in Manikbhandar, Nizamabad, was established in the year of 2010 and is a constituent college. This co-educational institution PCI approved offers specialisations in pharmaceutical sciences. Located in a 2 acre land the college at present has total of 237 students enroled and 17 faculty members. Three different courses are offered at Vijay College of Pharmacy comprising two degree levels at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels for pharmacy. From specialised courses offered to the colleges modern teaching equipment, the college showed tremendous sign of offering pharmaceutical education.
Vijay College of Pharmacy has well equipped and well-designed campus facilities to support and complement the learning activities of students. Modernised library acts as a knowledge centre where students can find everything they need regarding literature on pharmaceuticals and resources. Laboratories of the college are fit to address the needs of the pharmacy college and provides practical’s in almost every sphere of pharmacy. The health facilities are provided for students well being. There is a health centre with first aid services. The campus also comprises of an auditorium for occasions, seminars and so on, so as to improve the academic life. Computer resources and networks are particularly well developed, which means students remain connected to various information technologies. For those who need to be accommodated, the college has available for use boys’ and girls’ hostels. In addition, there is a cafeteria which meets the food needs of the students, sports facilities which improves the students’ physical personality as well as a big parking lot which helps the students and staffs of the campus to have a comfortable life.
Vijay College of Pharmacy has a total of three full time courses that they offer to any level of pharmacy education, be it undergraduate or post graduate. At the college, there is one bachelor’s degree programme and two master’s degree programmes which are aimed at developing the necessary and sufficient knowledge and skills in different pharmaceutical disciplines. The total approved intake for all the courses is 96. U.G programme offered by the college includes a four year programme of B.Pharma for 60 seats. At postgraduate level, students have an option to do M.Pharma in Pharmaceutics with 18 seats and M.Pharma in Pharmaceutical Analysis with a similar number of seats.
