Vivekanand Shikshak Prashikshan Mahavidhyalay, a leading teacher education college started in the year 2006, is located in Gramme Suroth, Tehsil Hindaun City, Karauli (Rajasthan). This co-educational institute with a built-up area of 1.82 acres is an affiliated college with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college enrols 458 total students with 49 faculties offering 4 courses in 3 degrees with teacher education specialisation. The institute has a total approved intake for B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. programmes of 150 seats: 100 seats for B.Ed. and 50 seats for D.El.Ed.  BA B.Ed. and B.Sc B.Ed. give the students a chance to complete their bachelor's and teacher's education together with different subjects. The admission procedure in Vivekanand Shikshak Prashikshan Mahavidhyalay differs according to courses. For the B.Ed. programme, the admission process is conducted according to the policy of the Government of Rajasthan through marks secured in the Pre-Teacher Education Test (PTET) conducted by Kota University. Admission to the D.El.Ed. programme is totally merit-based; marks in the qualifying examination as well as the entrance test are in compliance with the state government and university norms.
