VK Jain College of Education was established in the year 2003 at Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh. It is a co-educational institution affiliated to Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur and accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college has a compact campus area of 4.428 acres. It offers two specialised degree courses in education. VK Jain College of Education accommodates a total number of 254 students and a faculty strength of 9. It provides an ideal focused learning environment for future teachers. 

The VK Jain College of Education has many facilities designed for students to learn optimally. This library constitutes the most important academic support component in terms of more than 5,350 books, 8 journals, and 7 magazines. All these allow the students to learn an extraordinary wealth of educative materials. State-of-the-art laboratories, including a Communication Lab, Science Labs, and a Psychology Lab, thus giving practical knowledge. The Institute's IT infrastructure includes a modern computer laboratory with the latest technology and internet facilities, which ensures that students are updated on all technological advancements in education.  VK Jain College of Education provides students with an opportunity to interact and relax in the cafeteria. Medical aid to the students is provided by the hospitals nearby in case of emergencies. VK Jain College of Education presently conducts two full-time courses-a two-year B.Ed programme, and a two-year D.El.Ed programme. The B.Ed programme is approved for 100 seats while the D.El.Ed programme has 50 seats. The two programmes are meant for preparing students into a successful teaching career where the application of practical skills would be blended with theoretical knowledge. The total number of enrolled students is equivalent to the intake capacity of the college, which stands at 254. 

VK Jain College of Education has a merit-based admission process and is followed by the policies and guidelines of the state government and the parent university it is affiliated to. As for the B.Ed course, admission is based on marks secured in qualifying examination plus entrance examination if needed. Similarly, for D.El.Ed admissions, which is merit based, performance in qualifying exams or any other selection process according to the guidelines of the state government is considered. VK Jain College of Education aims to pay so much importance to teacher education, and its prime impetus was in training expert teachers for the future.
