This is the 1st year that AIIMS is conducting its admissions through NEET score. In 2019, an All India Rank of 400 in AIIMS MBBS entrance examination secured a seat in AIIMS Rishikesh. That was the cut off rank. This might be roughly 90-95 percentile. Now AIIMS conducts its entrance exams for 200 marks and releases its score in the form of percentiles while NEET conducts its exam for 720 marks and releases its score in the form of marks. Comparing these 2 might be difficult but you will need nothing less than 600 for a seat in AIIMS Rishikesh under General Category. To help you with your NEET preparation, we have NEET Knockout packages that you can check at: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/.

AIIMS Rishikesh has released a 6 point instuctions notification.

  • Students are to siit in the lecture hall according to their Roll number
  • Wear Appropriate scrub suits with clean apron for lecture, practicals and exams
  • They are not not to enter class room with bags and note books and writing material is to be carried to the classroom
  • Students will not be allowed to remain in hostel rooms or library reading during class hours
  • Students not adhering to these rules will be marked absent for that day.

Hii Adarsh!
The food whether it is up to the mark or not depends on Different people's perspective. It depends upon your food preferences. Generally, the food tastes average but is prepared with hygeine. That is, it is clean and hygeinic. The menu is fixed in a monthly meeting by the menu committee as per the preferences from the students.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!

Hi Saurav

It is extremely difficult to predict marks required by you to get a seat in AIIMS

This is because,

  • Earlier admission in aiims was on the basis of Aiims mbbs entrance examination and this it is the first time ever when AIIMS will be conducting admission through neet ,

  • Also cut off marks for medical colleges including aiims will depend upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the neet entrance exam, kind of marks obtained by students in the examination ,toughness level of the neet examination etc.

But yes getting into aiims Rishikesh or any other Aiims is not going to be easy as seats are very limited and the competition is huge for Aiims .
considering these things,
you should target around 620-650 marks in your neet examination if you want to get a seat in Aiims Rishikesh if you belong to sc category

Good luck for your neet examination

Hi,

Well I would like to tell you that AIIMS does not take admission on the basis of NEET score. Any AIIMS does not take admission on the neet score. Aiims has its own entrance exam where students register and qualify to get a seat.

I hope my answer helps.

All the best.

Hello!

Yes, the application forms are jointly filled for all the AIIMS present in india. There is one entrance exam for post-graduate courses (M.Sc) and on the basis of the result of that institute is alloted (as per my knowledge). I hope this will be of some help.

Hello there!

Greetings!

Now that AIIMS has been cancelled and admission to all the aiims is going to be conducted on the basis of marks obtained by you in neet and it is going to be for the first time, it's really difficult to predict what marks will fetch you a seat in Aiims , Rishikesh but it is for sure that getting into aiims will be the priority of students and thus cut off will be high for aiims so you need to score at least 600 + marks to get into Aiims Rishikesh better aim to get between around 650 marks to be on safer side.

Thankyou

Hey I can guide you I guess because I've my cousin who had been through the same course.

Coming to the enterance exam syllabus, there is no specifically prescribed syllabus. So, he “assumed” it to be from reproduction and embryology chapters at bachelor's level.

One can complete each and every topic and sub topic of - Reproduction, reproductive health, genetics mainly- (chromosomal disorders/syndromes), human embryology, foetal development, birth defects (causes & treatment), medical related current affairs/ schemes etc.

AIIMS being the most prestigious institution, one can expect the questions to be of higher level. To ensure that you are well prepared, you can even covered few topics from the 1st year MBBS book of embryology, “The Langman's.”  You can pen down the detailed points on general embryology like cleavage, stages of organogenesis, teratogenesis etc for in-depth knowledge.

One has to solve numerous mock papers on embryology and reproduction from different websites. Khan academy, Synap, Proprofs, Quizlet etc. But my brother found the website “synap” to be the toughest of all because questions were purely from MBBS. He even solved papers of various medical entrance exams on reproduction and embryology.

THE EXAM PATTERN :- 90 Multiple choice questions in 90 minutes. The exam is conducted online. You have to go through a heavy frisking before you enter the exam hall.

And now, finally the exam. He appeared for the first time in this exam. Paper was nowhere close to what one thought. One would describe it as ridiculously unexpected. Yes. The questions were very basic. Half of the paper was from basic ncert, the chapter “Molecular basis of inheritance.” Questions were all around DNA, RNA, Amino acids, codons, base pairs, transcription, etc.

And the other half was on menstrual cycle, reproductive hormones, gametogenesis etc.

And a few (approx 2) questions were not understandable to me. These were related to molecular biology.

There were no questions on chromosomal disorders/ syndromes, general embryology, genetic abnormalities, inheritance, cleavage, reproductive health, medical schemes or current affairs.

So the final conclusion is, don't over prepare like he did. Stick to the basics.  Ncert and a medical entrance exam book might be enough to cover up.

Too many questions (almost half of the paper) belonged to “molecular basis of inheritance.” And maximum number of “expected questions” were escaped from the original topic itself. Anyways, I have only described the exam pattern of this year.

The result will be declared in “percentile score.”

From his experience I concluded that a candidate preparing for MSc AIIMS should stick more to the basic books and solve enterance exams mock papers to excel well.

Best wishes. Thank you.
