About Cotton University Guwahati

Cotton University Guwahati is a public state university located in Guwahati, Assam. The Cotton College State University and Cotton College were merged in 2017 under the requirements of an Act passed by the Assam Legislative Assembly and formed the Cotton University. The institution is recognised by the Universal Grants Commission (UGC). Cotton University courses include diploma, BA, B.Sc, BCA, MA, M.Sc., M.Lib.I.Sc., MCA and PhD. From the academic year 2023-2024, Cotton University admissions to UG programmes will be done based on the performance of the candidate in CUET-UG conducted by the NTA. Cotton University Guwahati offers postgraduate admissions based on the results of the Cotton Post-Graduate Entrance Examination (CPGEE), which is administered by the university.

Candidates must satisfy the Cotton University CUET cutoff to participate in the UG admissions. Cotton University placements cell hosts a range of guest lectures and training events from well-known industry professionals. Cotton University facilities include a separate hostel for boys and girls with modern amenities and a well-established auditorium which is well-equipped with all the modern facilities. College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is good and the living spaces are well maintained. They provide all the necessary facilities like library, auditorium, laboratories etc. It is a old college so the seating and infra is a bit old.

Overall good experience with som many memories and friends.

College Infrastructure

The college is an open campus type. Includes the main building and the hostels. The classrooms are well equipped with blackboards, whiteboards, furnished with benches and have seminar rooms for special lectures. Every respective department contain required labs. The college has their own auditorium which is very large.

College Infrastructure

Hapyy with the infrastructure as it has approx 5-6 boys hostel and 3 girls hostel to accommodate the students. Every corner has good wifi connectivity and the labs are maintained properly. The hostels are good enough for the amount they charge. It has seperate library, center for recreational activities, fields etc.
