B.Sc Physics - Batch of 2023-01-01
Academics
The academic environment of the college is good and most faculty members are supportive and experienced. Teachers explain concepts clearly and help students during assignments and practical work.
Should update the curriculum to integrate AI into the subjects.
College Infra
The College infra specially the Physics department is quite good and provides most of the necessary facilities reqd for students
- Classrooms are clean and equipped with projectors and for better learning.
- Labs are also well maintained
- Physics Dept has its own library which also has a good collection.
Campus Life
Campus Life is good. As campus is surrounded by trees.
You have indoor stadium where one can engage in sport activities.
Placements
No as par placement cell. Learning wise is good but placement wise in my opinion is not good.
Student have to pursue higher education, as there is no facility for placements as such.
They can integrate some good placement related real-world courses in each department that can help students during placements
Value For Money
As its state funded college , so students doesnot require to pay much. Just exam registration is there which is also really low.

Academics
Academically it is one of the best colleges in the Guwahati city. The teachers are top-notch, they push you to think, not just memorize. Debates, seminars, and reading heavy texts are part of daily life. Honestly, its demanding but you end up feeling sharper and more confident.
College Infra
Cotton has that old-college charm mixed with new facilities. The campus is very big and the facilities are good. The library has books which will cater everyone needs. The hostel provide good facilities and food is good. There is sports centers, wifi, and all are maintained and used.
Placements
No high package corporate placements, But cotton's name carries weight. Most seniors crack net-jrf and get into civil services, or go for good universities for Phd. There will be career guidance program which will help you a bit.

Academics
I have completed my post graduation and the quality of teaching is good, it is a state university so the faculties are highly qualified and very professional. The classes happened regularly. The course curriculum is updated. It will make you something at least a better person.
College Infra
The cotton college has excellent infrastructure, facilities, there are many new structures have been build and the classrooms and hostel has good wifi, labs, gym facility, indoor sports stadium etc. All of these are used and well-maintained. The living spaces are clean and the food is hygienic.
Placements
The placements are very poor, there is less than 10 15 percent students get placement. Though the placement cell works to bring many diverse opportunities for students, They organize workshops, and all. There will be seminars and conference on different career related topics.
