Established in 1964, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya was formerly known as the University of Indore. Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a grade of ‘A+’. There are more than 220 colleges that are affiliated with DAVV Indore. The university is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC). The Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya has been ranked in the band of 101-150 among the universities by the NIRF.

There are more than 30 University Teaching Departments (UTD’S) functioning in the university such as the Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), School of Physics, School of Life Sciences, School of Instrumentation, and School of Languages. The Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya vision and mission are derived from the university motto- “Dhiyo Yonah Prachodayat”. In total, 113 courses are offered to students at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya for admissions at four levels: diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels.

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya conducts its entrance examinations for admission to various courses. The Common Entrance Test (CET) is conducted at UG and PG levels and the Doctoral Entrance Test (DET) is conducted for DAVV Indore M.Phil/Ph.D. admissions. In recent years, DAVV Indore has resulted in better placements with more than 2500 students securing placements. DAVV Indore also offers various facilities for students, which include hostels, libraries, laboratories, cafeterias, and infrastructure facilities for better campus life.

DAVV Scholarship

Scholarships are offered to students by a university/institution/college to either help them financially or reward them for their hard work. The Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya Indore offers AICTE scholarships to GATE/GPAT qualified candidates. In total, there are 13 stipend seats approved by AICTE offering Rs. 12,400 per month to candidates admitted to regular M.E./M.Tech programmes except for M.Tech. Programme in Energy and Environment. This DAVV Indore scholarship is under Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme. Out of 13 Stipend seats 3 seats are reserved for SC/ST students of M.P. Domicile and 10 Stipend seats are available for All India candidates. Apart from this, students can apply for various national and state scholarships offered by GOI. Some of them are Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities, PG Scholarship for Single Girl Child.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the college was average, not very good. The college provided facilities such as Wi-Fi, a canteen, labs, and a library to the students. The quality of food in the canteen was good considering the price. The college had a wide campus but no hostel facility.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the college is good, and the campus is spread across more than 25 acres. The canteen is not as good. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The library is also good, and you can easily go there to make notes. Many books are available. They also have a digital library so that you can do e-learning. The college is good enough and they organise many sports activities.

College Infrastructure

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya in Indore has everything students need. Classrooms have smart boards and projectors. Labs have tools for experiments. The library has many books and computers with internet. There are places to play sports. The hostels are clean and serve good food. Everything is kept nice and tidy.

Is it possible to do MA in 2 different subjects (Psychology and English Literature) simultaneously in the same academic year in DAVV?

It appears that pursuing M.A. in two different subjects simultaneously (Psychology and English Literature) in the same academic year at DAVV (Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya) might not be possible through the regular full-time program.

M.A. programs at DAVV (and most universities in India) are typically designed as full-time courses with a set curriculum and schedule. This makes it challenging to pursue two full-time programs simultaneously due to overlapping classes, assignments, and exams.

DAVV has recently introduced a dual degree program where students can pursue two courses concurrently. However, there are key points to consider:

Most Indian business schools provide preference to applicants who have completed competitive tests such as CAT, MAT, XAT, and so forth.
