GNDU Amritsar Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The university has 3 boys hostels. For the convenience of students, the rooms of every hostel are spacious and clean. All the basic facilities are available at the boys hostels.

GNDU Amritsar has 4 separate hostels for girls students. Spacious and ventilated rooms provide a comfortable stay to the girls students. Girls hostels have all basic facilities for the students.

GNDU Amritsar has a medical centre. It provides basic first aid facilities to students, staff and faculty members.

The varsity has a multipurpose gym at the campus. The gym has wooden flooring and has all the latest equipment for cardio, weight training for students.

Bhai Gurdas Library of the university was established in March 1970. The library has books, periodicals, national & international journals etc. for students and faculty members. The library also has a computerised section where students can access e-journals and e-books.

Guru Nanak Dev University has a vast playground spread over an area of 30 acres. The Physical Education Department of the university conducts tournaments at regular intervals. To train students and prepare them for tournaments, the varsity has 12 full time coaches. The varsity has won India’s prestigious Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Trophy for being the overall best University for a record period of 16 times.

The university has a computer centre. The computer has rapid internet connectivity. Students can fill their application/examination forms at the computer centre. Furthermore, it allows students to gain practical experience and provides them with the best learning experience.

The canteen of the university offers hygienic and nutritious foods to the students. The price of the food is reasonable and pocket friendly.

To host cultural and academic events, GNDU Amritsar has a modern auditorium at the campus.

Entire campus of Guru Nanak Dev University has wifi for the students. Wifi is accessible in every part of the campus.

The guest house of the university is well furnished. It is used by students’ parents/relatives who come to meet their wards in the hostel.

The university has parking space for students and faculty members vehicles. There are separate parking spaces for both entrances.

Guru Nanak Dev University has department-based laboratories. The university laboratories help students to perform their practicals and experiments at the campus.
