Shoolini University Admissions 2025
ApplyNAAC A+ Grade | Ranked No.1 Private University in India (QS World University Rankings 2025)
Hello Aspirant...
IISER admissions in 2021 will be done through three channels: JEE Advanced, KVPY, and the IISER aptitude test. Candidates applying through Jee Advanced must have a general category rank of less than 15000 and a category rank of less than 10000. Candidates who apply through the IISER aptitude test or the KVPY must meet the IISER cutoff marks. You must be taking admission based on your JEE Advanced rating, since you specified it. With your current rank, you will almost certainly be admitted to IISER.
I hope this information is useful.
All the best.
Hi,
Yes, you will have good chances to get a seat in IISER.
Last year, students scoring around 96/180 were allotted seats in the 1 st round and further 88-89 in 2 nd round. To secure a seat in any of IISER, you must score 83-85 but the level of difficulty can be unpredictable. The questions keep on changing along with the pattern of the exam.
Hope this helps.
All the best.

Hi ,
Depends on your choice of branches. If you're looking for the Pure Sciences, then no. None of the IISERs mandatorily requires a math background for BS-MS admissions. However, if you are applying for the Engineering Science (EECS and Chem. Engineering) and the Economics programme at IISER Bhopal, then you are required to have a math background in 11th and 12th. Also, as a previous answer pointed out, the Aptitude Test has 25% questions from Mathematics. So if you are a non-math student, you would be well-advised to maybe spend the last couple of months going over a few basics from the 11th and 12th NCERT textbooks, so as to be able to score a few marks at least in the maths section.
Hello aspirant,
I hope you are doing well and good. Sorry to say but you have no chances of getting any seat in IISERs in regular round or even for the last round because as you know that the competition for IISER is very high and thus it's Cutoff generally climps up which further reduces you chances.
Goodluck!
Hi,
Hope you are doing well.
You question seems to be bit confusing. As per my knowledge, there is nothing such as Unreserved Ranking. So, considering 5.8K as your All India Rank.
Following are the closing rank based on IAT in year 2020:
IISER - Mohali
IATBS Program : 3546
IATIntegrated BS-MS Program : 3248
IISER : Pune
IATBS Program : 3546
IATIntegrated BS-MS Program : 3248
The closing rank for other IISERs is also around the range of 3250 CRL. So , With your CRL rank,it seems quite Difficult to get admission in IISER if cutoff remains similar to previous year .
I hope this will answer your query.
Thanks!!!!!!
If you want you can reject your seat or don't take admission in it and then reattempt the examination next year. Or you can float and see if there are any upgrades available for you in the next rounds. Its dependent on you and based on your interest you should take the decision.

Hello,
Your chances of getting IISER is very less. The minimum you should be scoring to have secured admission in IISERs is around 75-85 mark for OBC. You will definitely be not getting a seat in any IISERs in regular round even for your 3rd choice IISER. The competition for IISER is very high and thus it's cutoff generally climbs up which futher reduces your chances. I would still suggest you to go for it and see if you get lucky.
