Hello Ashutosh!
Go for Dual Degree at IISER if you are interested in Research and have no keen interest in IT industry.
If you are interested in working at some profile in some MNCs and if you are interested in computer programming then go for DTU.
IISER is better for research oriented studies wheras DTU is better for placements in MNC and Industry related studies.
Hope that helps!
Hello,
The last year cutoffs for IISER IAT 2019 was 72 marks. Though the paper this year was considered a bit tougher than last year, the number of participating students has also increased and thus cutoffs are expected to remain more or less the same. Thus your chances of securing a seat in IISER is very bleak and I suggest you look up for other colleges at the same time, keep an eye on IISER counseling.
Thank You.
Hello,
As per the previous year cutoffs of SCB channel of IISER, you can definitely get an IISER via IAT 2019 with the general category. While your chances of IISER Pune or Kolkata is very bleak, you can definitely get IISER Tirupati till 4th round. As after third round of counselliing most students either freeze the seat or just take a seat in IITs. Thus 4th round is when you can expect IISER Tirupati. I hope it helps.
Thanks
Hello
As you have stated that you have got 80 Marks in IISER entrance exam and you are from general category. I would like to tell you that the last year minimum cutoff for IISER was 75. For IISER trivandrum it was over 90. And every year cutoff almost increases, so may not get admission in IISER Trivandrum but yes you might have chance in other IISER but you will have to wait till 3rd round or after that to get your choice.i would suggest you choose your seats accordingly and go for counselling. I hope it helped
Dear Dipak
As you have stated that you score in IAT is 75(SCB) in general category. As per the last year cutoff, it was 72/200 to get into IISER , so yes you may have chance. But please remember that this is last year cutoff and it changes every year so it might increase this year too. But still you might have a chance. So go for the seat allocation and wait for the counselling. Good luck
Install Camscanner(Application) on your phone. So when you take the photo of your 12th standard marksheet, it automatically gets converted to PDF format. And easier for you to upload. Keep in mind the size of the document. There's generally a limit.
Camscanner naamka app phone pe install keejiye, usmese jab aap tasveer lenge, woh Apne aap PDF me ban jaega. Sirf, PDF Ka size aapko dekhna padega. Ek size ke upar Nahi chalega.
Brother, though it would be easier for me to decide if you had told your CRL rank. As EWS, being implemented for first time, it would be difficult for anyone to decide.
Though, from the past analysis, IESR takes students who rank (CRL) below 10k in GEN and OBC.
Though, you have quota, so might have higher chances but with this rank, it seems IESR quite difficult/unlikely for you.
I would recommend you to give, it's apptitude exam which helds few days after JEE advanced. IESR provides 50% seats vacancy for student to get admitted via this aptitude test.
Thank You
Hello Debashis,
Your score of 88 marks is decent enough and can definitely land you some IISER. Word was that this year's paper was a bit tough than last year and with your marks well above the cutoff of last year, you might get some IISER. You may have to wait for the third or fourth round of allotment for finally getting a seat as generally it is the third round where students finally decide whether to choose IITs or IISER and thus cutoffs change in the third round. You can also get higher preferences by the floating option. Hope for the best.
Thanks.
Hello,
Seems quite difficult. Last year, the cutoff was 72/180 for the GEN category. Despite some feedback terming this year's paper as tougher, it stands that the number of candidates would very likely have also shot up this year. Hence, 65 would be a tough call. At best, maybe a seat at any of the newer IISERs seems a lucky scenario. However, do hold on for the allotments, and the later rounds too. It will be a tough call to predict but this is certainly a borderline case and you cannot be sure of getting a seat in any IISER. Had it been with OBC category also, you stood a chance. You should keep your other options open too.
Thanks
