Hi,

Yes you can get admission in IISER if you pass 10+2 with Science stream in 2018 or 2019. To take admission in B.Tech program at an IISER, you will have to clear one of the three given below:

1. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) - You need a valid KVPY fellowship.

2. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Advanced) of the Indian Institutes of Technology - You have to secure a rank with 10,000 of JEE Advanced, if you are a General category student.

3. State and Central Boards (SCB) - You have to appear for IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2019 and obtain the cutoff marks.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!

Hello Aspirant,

The cutoff varies every year depending on the various factors such as No. of Applicant appeared for the exam, Difficulty level of the exam, Performance of the candidates etc. so it is difficult to tell you the exact admission chances however you can check the previous year cutoff to take in Idea about the admissinon possibilities in IITs.

Good Luck!

I believe SL stands for standard level. Let me tell you that your chances of securing a seat in IISC and IISER will not be impacted because of these subjects. Also, youyou n not to take up any additional subjects in mathematics and physics, these subjects are good to go as far as your academics are concerned. Just focus on your entrances and try scoring good marks so as to meet the cut off criteria for these colleges.

I want admission in mbbs in private college . My neet score become na 250. Please tell me minimum fees college in india and up?

Hi Abhas,

Yes, sure you can apply for IISER.

The applications are always asked to be filled up and scrutinized beforehand. If you qualify the test and your applications get selected then they will ask for the 12th mark sheet and results that too with a deadline which is few weeks after the results are released so that every student can submit the documents on time

The campus that you will ultimately land to will depend on the number of people who apply to IISER, moreover post shortlisting some of the IISER campuses have their own written tests followed by interview. So your admission to any one of IISER campus is highly subjective to your performance in the further processes as well.

Hello Bipasha

Many institues take admissions from NEET. These includes MBBS courses and BSc as well. For example IISc and IISER do take admissions from NEET.

It is not a well known fact and students in class 12th don't usually think about it. You can apply in both of them from your NEET score as well.

Hope this helps.

All the best!

Hey Shwetakshi,

The cut off marks ( out of 500 ) for 10+2 examination for central board are -

Gen./EWS - 431

OBC - 420

SC - 401

ST - 385

PWD - 385.

As you have secured 94% in your 10+2 exam and if you calculate the marks then you must be having 470 marks out of 500. So you can fill the form for IISER doesn't matter which category you belong to. You are havibg enough marks to qualify for IISER.

Good luck.
