M.Tech Electrical Engineering with Specialization in VLSI Design at IIT Jammu Offline Course

The objective of the M.Tech. in  VLSI Design is to provide a strong foundation with required analytical concepts in the field of signal design theory, digital signal processing, and digital communication systems. It will motivate students to utilize concepts to explore novel solutions to real life problems and to prepare a scholar as a young professional ready to contribute to socio-technical problems with the applicability of communication and signal processing techniques.

On completion of the program, the graduates will Learn to a model of communication systems, optimum detection and estimation algorithms, adaptive signal processing techniques, advanced architecture for signal processing, RF systems, and multimodal signal analysis techniques. Gain knowledge in communication systems as linear vector channels; learn optimum detection, linear and non-linear detection algorithms, and MIMO signal detection algorithms using various techniques. Have knowledge in processing of various signals like image, speech, biomedical, and optical and to apply in real time applications. Be able to use industry-standard tools for the design, analysis, and implementation of communications and signal processing systems. Carry out cutting edge projects with flexibility to balance between research- and application-oriented works as per their interest.

Reservation Policy: The Govt. of India rules with respect to the candidates in the reserved category as existing in other IITs shall be applicable. The admission authority of IIT Jammu has reserved some seats for candidates belonging to reserved categories. Eligible candidates will have to produce a reservation certificate during the interview process.
