• Candidates should appear for GATE and obtain a valid score.

• For admission to M.Tech programme candidates must appear for GATE examination, while for admission to M.Sc programme candidates must appear for JAM examination.

• Candidates are shortlisted for a written test and personal interview.

• The final selection of candidates for IIT Jammu admissions is done based on performance in written tests & personal interviews and GATE scores.

• Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria and fill the IIT Jammu application form.

• Applicants must have a valid score in CSIR/UGC NET/GATE/DST INSPIRE/NBHM for Ph.D admission. 

• The university shortlists candidates for a written test/personal interview.

• Appear for a written test/personal interview.

• Then, the final selection of candidates for IIT Jammu admissions is done by the institute. 

• To complete the IIT Jammu admission procedure the candidates who are selected need to deposit documents and fees to confirm admission. 

For IIT Jammu admissions to UG and PG programmes, candidates must attend the respective IIT Jammu counselling process. For admission to B.Tech and M.Tech programmes, the IIT Jammu counselling process is done through JoSAA and COAP counselling respectively.
