IIT Kanpur recognised for its excellence in engineering and science education has made a strategic move with the introduction of the MBA programme that is slated to become the best in management education. Admission is made once a year. A candidate is required to take Common Admission Test (CAT) Examination held in December.

Eligibility Criteria

For GN, EWS and OBC (NCL) applicants

Overall score of 80 percentile or above in CAT
B.Tech. or B.E. or B.Arch. (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in Class XII) or four year degree program leading to B.Sc. Engineering (with Mathematics as one of the subjects), or four year degree program leading to Bachelor of Science degree (with Mathematics as one of the subjects), or Master of Science (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the UG program), or Master of Arts in Economics (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the UG program) with aggregate of 60% or a CPI of 6.0 on a scale of 10 from any AICTE recognized institute/university, IITs, NITs, and IIITs

For SC and ST applicants

Overall score of 55 percentile or above in CAT
B.Tech. or B.E. or B.Arch. (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in Class XII), or four year degree program leading to B.Sc. Engineering (with Mathematics as one of the subjects), or four year degree program leading to Bachelor of Science degree (with Mathematics as one of the subjects), or Master of Science (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the UG program), or Master of Arts in Economics (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the UG program) with aggregate of 50% or a CPI of 5.0 on a scale of 10 from any AICTE recognized institute/university, IITs, NITs, and IIITs

College Infrastructure

Food quality in the mess is worst even no sufficient food , the water is also becomes yellow colour some times in hostels and we have to go to academics blocks for fresh water . The wifi signals of some room is very good .

College Infrastructure

The hostel infrastructure at IITK is well organized and of high quality. In the first year, students have double-sharing rooms. Rooms are furnished with two beds, a table, and two chairs, providing a decent-sized living space. Hygienic and high-quality food is provided at the hostel mess. The campus offers sports facilities for various sports, and a health center provides free medical facilities.

College Infrastructure

Being a top IIT, infrastructure is excellent at IIT Kanpur. It's an over 1000 acres clean and green campus. Classrooms have all the necessary features for a holistic learning. The library is a huge building with thousands of books and good seating arrangement. Sports facilities are great as well with many indoor and outdoor facilities functioning in the campus.
