Eligibility Criteria

A bachelor's degree in engineering or science (4 year programme) or a master's degree in science with marks/CPI not below the specified minimum.
A valid GATE score is required for admission to the M.Tech. programme in the case of regular (non-sponsored) candidates. The requirement of GATE score is waived off for the candidates with the B.Tech/B.S (Four Year) degree from IITs with a minimum overall CPI of 6.5 and a minimum CPI of 8.0 in the last two years in B.Tech/B.S (Four Year).

Admission Details

Through Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). The examination is usually announced in the month of August and held in February across the country. Sponsored candidates from the industries as well as research organizations with appropriate experience need not have qualified GATE.

College Infrastructure

IIT Kanpur is a very good place for study and has a large number of facilities, such as a library, academic hall, advanced lecture hall, sports complex, hostel facility, and medical center. all hostel has a separate mess, sports, and mini library facilities.

Hostel life is well organized and good acedmic experience

College Infrastructure

Iit kanpur has a very good infrastructure and good academic facilities. The metro station is around 500m from the main gate that good thing from sunset to travel near by. The hostel and sport facilities also very good. During my time I was in Hall 11, that if for PG students. All hostel has personal mess, stationary, sports, gym and and mini library facilities. And a common facilities for all student and facilities also there like sport complex, library and conferences halls
