24 MonthsThe department aims to achieve this objective by tailoring courses to directly address the issues and look for technical solutions. The program would also create a platform for major urban bodies to exchange difficulties and innovative solutions developed. The aim of this program would be to enable research and development for addressing problems faced by rapid urbanization like development of multi-modal transport networks, water conservation, sewage disposal, waste management.

Eligibility Criteria
Minimum of 55% marks / 5.5 (on a 10 point scale) in B.E. /B.Tech. or equivalent in appropriate branches (50% marks for SC /ST/SEBC applicants). Students whose results are awaited for the final Semester can also apply. However, their final admission is subjected to submission of final Semester marks/grades by 31st July.
For Non-GATE qualified applicants, the eligibility criteria mentioned above is a minimum and the individual disciplines may use higher cut-off levels for shortlisting. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/SEBC categories would be eligible for relaxations, as per norms, in the selection criteria.
Admission Details
The total sanctioned intake will be filled in the following manner:
A. Seats shall be filled up, based on the applications received on the basis of GATE score and ranks.
B. Seats remaining vacant, after above will be filled based on the written test/computer-based MCQ test conducted at the Institute.
