Ph.D Biostatistics and Demography at IIPS Mumbai Offline Course

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biostatistics and Demography is an offered Full-time three/six-year Doctoral program and it is offered by the International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai. Ph.D. programme shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.

No. of GOI Fellowship: 2 (Two). The number of Government of India fellowship may likely to increase. In addition, UGC-JRF, and other fellowship holders will also be considered for admission as per the availability of seats.

Government of India Fellowships @ Rs. 25,000/- per month for 1st and 2nd years and Rs.28,000/- per month for 3rd and 4th years available for the Indian students who have qualified NET for Lectureship in population or its inter-disciplinary subjects conducted by the UGC. Such Ph.D. fellowship also carries a contingency grant of Rs.10,000/- per year for the first two years and Rs. 20,500/- for the third year. However, the candidates, without NET qualification shall be awarded fellowship @ Rs.12,000/- per month for the 1st and 2nd years, and Rs.14,000/- per month for the 3rd and 4th years, with a contingency grant of Rs.10,000/- per year.
