Hello

Yes, Jipmer MBBS entrance examination have been scrapped off and now it will provide admission through Neet examination

It is extremely difficult to predict marks required by you to get a seat in Jipmer
This is because,
it is the first time ever when JIPMER will be conducting admission through neet examination  .
Also , cut off marks will depend upon various factors like kind of marks obtained by students in the examination , toughness level of the neet examination etc.
Also,
seats are very limited in JIPMER
keeping these things in mind you should get at least  650 marks or more at least in your neet examination if you want to get a seat in JIPMER

Thank you

Dear Aspirant,

The pattern of the NEET exam is same as it used to be and there is no change this year. You will have the total 720 marks and 180 questions.

45 Questions from Physics. 180 Marks.

45 Questions from Chemistry. 180 Marks.

90 Questions from Biology. 360 Marks.

Thank you.

Medical Colleges primarily teach MBBS, BDS and other allied courses. And for admission to MBBS and BDS is through NEET. And NEET gives admission to only one course at a single time. And so, pursuing 2 courses or Integrated courses in MBBS/BDS is not possible. But for other courses, thereare no Integrated courses yet and so unfortunately we do not have that option of studying UG and PG at the same time in JIPMER

Hi

To prepare well for neet follow the below mentioned tips or strategy

Make a routine or timetable :-
  • try to give at least 8 hours or more to study in your routine
  • your routine should revolve around things i.e study, revise and practice ,
  • in your routine give more time to the subject in which you are weak , for most of the medical aspirant physics is there weak point so give more time to physics in your routine give
  • keep short breaks of 20 to 30 minutes between your studies after every 2.5-3 hour

  • Give priority to ncert:-To prepare for neet exam first of all go through ncert to clear your basic concepts and take the help of reference book to understand the topics you find difficult to understand, Ncert is really good for clearing your basic concepts

  • Practice questions after finishing each chapter you should practice numericals and mcqs and keep revising your concepts at regular intervals, like once in a week or 15 days . You can make short notes for quick revision of important concepts and formulas

  • You should practise at least 80-100 numericals and mcqs in Each chapter

  • Solve previous year questions

  • once you are done with the complete neet syllabus go through mock test papers

Thankyou

The application for CENTAC 2020 has been scheduled to be released on third week of May 2020. But the application has not yet released may be due to outbreak of COVID 19 Pandemic and also the lockdown period has been extended. Keep an eye on the official website for furthur details.

Dear aspirant,

I want to bring into light a practical truth, that any entrance examination is set such that students would be able to solve it and get admission. No institution holds examination so that no student would be able to crack it.

Same goes with NEET. The examination paper would be as it used to be. A slight increase in difficulty level is obvious, as the new generation comes with all previous knowledge of their predecessors. New generation is always supposed to be more intellectual than the previous ones.

Hence, do not worry. Just be confident and prepare with a cool mind.

P.S. Feel lucky as you've (means entire batch) got extra time to prepare and rock the upcoming exam!

Good luck.

Gowtham, for a Candidate belonging to BC Category, 600 marks might not be enpugh for a seat in AIIMS or JIPMER. But 600 will fetch you a seat in a Government Medical College easily. But whether 1 year preparation is enough or not for scoring 600 and above totally depends on your level of preparation and the strategies you follow. To help you with NEET preparation, we have NEET Knockout packages: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/

Admission to JIPMER for its 200 seats will be conducted through NEET score through All India Counselling. At this point in time, the procedure is yet unclear. But if you go by AIQ Counselling procedure, once NEET results have been declared and the merit list has been released, the DGHS on behalf of the MIC/NMC will release the online registration for counselling process. During the choice filling and locking process, you have to select JIPMER as one of your options. The seats will be allotted based on merit and preference. So if you want to secure a seat in JIPMER, you should score above 650 and have JIPMER as your first preference. To help you during admission and counselling, we have https://www.careers360.com/mbbs-companion.
