The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, NIST, Berhampur was started in the year 1996. It offers two undergraduate programmes (B.Tech in Electrical Engineering and B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering). The Department has grown not only in terms of student and faculty strength but also in state of the art laboratory facilities for teaching and research purposes.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must have passed 10+2 in Science stream with a minimum score of 45% aggregate for General/OBC and 40% aggregate for SC/ST.
- Must have Physics and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects.
- Must have Chemistry/Computer Science/Electronics/IT/Biology/Informatics Practices/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subjects/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies/Entrepreneurship as the third subject.
- Must secure a minimum score of 135 out of 300 in the three main subjects (Physics + Mathematics + one from above list)
- Must secure qualifying scores in JEE Mains.
Admission Details
Admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at Engg. Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main).
The States of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Nagaland and Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State Level Examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main) application form online.

College Infrastructure
Good college infrastructure. Spacious and ventilated atmosphere. 5 Buildings are present each serves its own purpose. Labs are well equipped. Wi-Fi facility is present everywhere. Hostel is spacious and mess food is clean and hygienic

College is divided into 5 campus each campus has its own purpose. Buildings are well ventilated. College has 2 libraries one for academics other for competitive exams. Mess is quite good has veg and non veg items.

College Infrastructure
Yes, our college have a good infrastructure, all the buildings are well maintained. The labs are good and well equipped and facilities provided to the students are satisfactory. The classrooms are having both digital learning and traditional learning tools. Apart from these our college also have swimming pool, gym , a sports ground and a yoga center for the refreshment of students. There are two different libraries in our college one for our academics and other for competitive exams.
