Batch of 2017 | B.Tech Civil Engineering and MBA Dual Degree
I took admission in KIIT in the year 2012, and I had opted for the dual degree ( MBA+ Civil Engg.), in the dual degree almost everything remains the same in the first year of Engg. a life where you will be taught like others C, Mechanics, Basic Electronics, Engineering Drawing, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and such. But in 2 & 3rd year of life you all be put in one section for just dual degree with your branch related studies you will be also taught your Dual Degree subject, like for example in my case I had to take MBA so apart from my regular branch studies classes, I used to go to MBA campus where our classes happened, there we were taught everything related to Management. In the 4rth year when other were sitting for placements, we had classes in MBA campus which were going on in full swing. The placement training was also going on for us in the meantime so that we can be ready for the 5th year, with a large number of companies coming us we had an advantage we could sit for both our branch as well as management companies.

KIIT has been the best thing that happened to me. Unlike most of the Engineers, I took up Engineering because of family pressure. In KIIT I figured out various other career options, though the faculties and Academic standards are very high in my case, i wanted to explore before being settled. There are almost 10+ Societies like Entrepreneurship Cell, Photography & Editing Society (Kreative Eye-Society Name), Fashion, Dance, Singing, Quizzing, Sports and much more. The conduct various workshops and also have there own fest and every month sessions. I was in seconds attracted to graphic design and started attending sessions which were conducted every Sunday which taught us how to edit and make the best of the best designs starting from scratch to fully proper edit. There are also Internship camps held by the university where almost 200+ companies to hire interns in various fields like Core internships, Designing, Marketing, Sales, Creative Writing and much more. I applied and sat for various companies got selected in one and had in hand experience in one of the premier companies in India which helped me enhance my skills and make me more perfect. The Best part, I bagged a PPO from the same company :) That's how KIIT Helped me.

Batch of 2018 | B.Tech Electrical Engineering
It began in 2014 when I took admission in KIIT in Engineering. The admission process is very simple, every year KIIT conducts its own examination for admission called as KIITEE where the syllabus is quite similar to your 12th standard the examination is free of cost. Once you clear the exams and take admission in the choice of Branch, your academic career begins. With your first year being somewhat relatable and a little more than 12th class, you would knowledge about Physics, Chemistry, Professional Comm., Mechanics, Basic Electro., and also labs like Engineering Drawing, Physics and Chemistry and such relatable. Your branch studies start from the 2nd year with subjects related to your branch and also happens the same in 3rd and 4rth year of your college life. In the 4rth year the initial few months, you're given rigorous Pre-Placement Training so that you pass out in the campus placement with flying colors.Life at KIIT is awesome, worth experiencing, fun, joy and worth remembering.

KIIT University, formerly Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology is one of the best Premier engineering institutes in the Eastern Zone of India, it is ranked as 45th best Engg. university in India biting various top-tier universities/colleges. I belong to the engineering part of the university. I will divide the review into points - 1. The campus is very large and it will take you almost a week if you have a dream to see the whole campus walking. Yes, I mean it. 2. All the Engg. branches have their own respective campuses where there classes and labs are held starting from 2nd year. In the 1st year all the classes are held on one particular campus(campus-3). 3. If you have Placements in your mind, then be tensed free, KIIT bags a placement rate of more than 85% every year and the number is increasing. The preparation gets started right from the 6th semester itself with various pre-placement training workshops, events, Classes, mock tests, Mock PI and GD. 4. The Study atmosphere is the best, almost all the faculties come from the well know top-tier universities of India. There are classes every day and even doubt clearing classes are also held before every exams, be it Mid Sems or the End Sems. 5. The hostel life is also up to the mark, there are almost 10+ Hostels for Boys and 4 for Girls (I'm talking just about engineering students) Both Ac and NOn AC hostels are available.

I entered KIIT in the year 2014 in Civil, initially, the subjects that were taught were similar for all the other 8 branches of engineering that are taught in KIIT irrespective of being Core/SemiCore. You will be taught subjects like B.Electronics, Engg. Mechanics, C, Maths, Physics, Chemistry. The subjects vary semester to semester with just Maths staying until the end of 2nd year. A year has 2 semesters and in each sem you have different subjects and teachers. There are Mid sems, End Sems which are held per semester. For 2nd and 3rd year, the focus will be on your branch related subjects and labs. The classes happen on your campus. The 4rth year is completely based initially on Placement classes and then there is projects and subject related classed also happening.

This college helped me a lot in my personality development. The staff and faculty here are very supportive. As we all know KIIT has one of the best infrastructures and life here is really enjoyable. One aspect which i don't like is the expensive cost per year and students find it really hard to pay such huge amounts which are increasing more year by year.Apart from it the placement is good and the exposure from other industries is also appreciable.

A good place for a student to work hard and earn himself a good placement.Great infrastructure, supportive staffs, well equipped labs serve well for a good academic study.Hostel facilities are nice but not too good.College is supportive to extra curriculars and students can go to higher levels if their talent is good.Overall i would recommend this college to my folks.

Large number of students are admitted every year and so hostel facilities are very good.Faculty have mixed traits. Some teachers are very good others lack knowledge.Infrastructure wise its amazing.Extra curriculars are given full preference.KIIT FEST is the most popular event if the year and many celebrities have come over the years.Placements are average.I would recommend this college only if you can pay 12 lakhs to get a guaranteed package of 2.5 lakhs.

Placements have been great with many companies visiting every year.I personally would suggest this college for the students seeking engineering college if you haven't got an IIT or NIT.

The faculties are from the best top tier institute of india. Every branch has different campuses, lab and other facilities. There are doubt clearing classes also. Before the companies vositthe campus for recruitment there is a rigours 3 months of pre placement trainings. With mock PI,GD. Overall this place is a must going.

All the name and fame of this college is because of Founder Achutya Samanta and his social services. The college takes huge amount of fees and fails to satisfy. The teaching is not upto the mark according to me and students can bunk classes and go for enjoyment.Though the infrastructure is great but i dont think aspiring students would give so much money only for enjoyment. The placement is average and only some fixed companies arrive here every year. Also fines levied are hard to give for every small mistakes.

The aspects that i love about my college is its infrastructure, the facilities and the management.Apart from these it is disciplined and good at extra-curriculars. But the college is too expensive for a middle class family to afford.Huge fines on every small issues and even for backlogs sometimes the university charges 2000/- per subject. And the average placement is also low ,ie around 2.5-3 lakhs which is a demerit in my view.

In my view KIIT University has the best campus than most colleges. Beautiful infrastructure and a disciplined environment makes the students spend most of the time in and around the college campus. The college has been growing steadily in the last few years.Placement wise the graph has also increased over the years and more and more companies continue to pick up students and recruit them though the packages are mostly around 2.5-3 lakhs. The teachers here are knowledgeable and student friendly.Of course the affordability is low,12 lakhs for 4 years is just too much.

I began my Engg. journey in the August'14. The first year is all about basic knowledge and the subjects are common for all and you're introduced to new subjects such as Engg. Drawing, C, Engg. Mechanics, Basic Electronics, Pro. Comm. and much more. It is full and you get to learn a lot, in 2nd & 3rd year your classes happen in your respective campuses with subject related to your branch studies. There are a lot of exposure also for someone who is interested in Photography, Fashion, Entrepreneurship, Art, Dance and such fun activities. You have various fests and events related to various stuff being held every month. There a Cricket Stadium, Rugby Stadium, Indoor Sports Stadiums, Pools, Tennis Courts, BasketBall Courts, Gyms and lot other facilities for the students.

I like many students in India who opt for Engineering without having an inch idea of it. I choosed Civil and entered the college, I was given knowledge about various things and mainly the exposure you get at KIIT is marvelous and unmatched. There are various societies like E-Cell, Dramatics, Dance, Robotics, Fashion and many more which help you by letting you know that, "It's Ohkay if you're not interested in Engineering you can explore alot of career paths". Nearly every month there is a fest where you can participate in various competitions, the placement is the finest in the state with 90%+ being placed every year. The facilities are best the minimum qualifications each have is a PHD from top tier -1 colleges of India. Every branch of engineering has a different campus, indoor stadium, pool, OAT and many more. Trust me it will take you 7 days to explore the entire campus and you will be still left with many palaces you haven't seen.

I am so so going to miss my college and everything related to it, after it gets over. The facilities provided by the college is vast and numerous. The classrooms and labs are very well equipped with the reuired stuffs .The hostel facilities are also great. There are options if one wants to stay in an ac or a non ac room. According to the choice of the students, they are allotted rooms. Overall, it is the best college one can study in.

The college holds numerous workshops, free classrooms for students to enhance in corporate world. The faculties are very well educated and friendly. the seniors are awesome. Whatever you do, do not miss the cultural fests organised by the institution. It always stays in the top 10 college fests in India.Hostel life has made my college life wonderful. Why? Let that be a mystery for you to solve(wink). Crowd management is wonderful by the faculties. So, best of luck for your entrance exams and hope to see you in KIIT.

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology situated at the heart of Bhubaneshwar city in the state of Odisha is one of the reputed private colleges of India. Unlike the other private colleges it does not speak about what it does not have. Great faculty, good exposure towards cultural activities,a strong academic frontier and beautiful infrastructure is all that KiiT UNIVERSITY is proud of. The culture here is not that of establishing superiority but of a fair competitiveness. The classrooms are better than what you expect and the fee structure is quite less than what other private colleges demand ( I,44,000INR) per semester. There are some strict rules and mostly the female students might have a problem in obeying each and every rule but then the college never compromises on security. Anti-ragging campus and very helpful seniors :) All in all, if you don't get into an IIT come to KIIT,you don't have an in-between.

Hostel life is extraordinary. Classrooms are quite good enough. Well furnished. Teaching staff is quite helpful towards the students. I am sure if you choose the right stream(remember that guys, choosing the right stream is important & choose what your heart wants, not anything else). The cultural fests are legen-wait for it-dary. I'm sure your college life will be significant. The seniors are very helpful. And it's a ragging free campus. Hope to see you soon. :D

Well talking about this college environment is fairly good enough as compared to other colleges where ragging is prevalent and students are terrified with this, next thing is its campus infrastructure which is really amazing .Apart from that students here are pretty cooperative along with the professors . We have special mentoring system where students are guided by their tutor mentor as well aprt from their subject teachers and they are more like our second parents here who keeps on guiding us about every stuff we do , they are there to solve all our problems whether it is related to our curriculum, hostel ,personal issues etc.Placements are pretty good as compared to other colleges .
