Premium resources, competitive placements, vibrant campus.

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

I was consistently impressed by the expansive and highly organized campus, which feels like a fully equipped technical city. The Electronics and Telecommunication department had outstanding laboratories with current instruments for circuit design and signal processing. I appreciated the excellent air-conditioned classrooms and reliable network connectivity, essential for my final year projects. I believe the infrastructure is exceptional.

    Academics

I feel the core curriculum was comprehensive, giving me solid foundational knowledge in analog and digital communication. My professors were experts and provided clear insights into complex very large scale integration concepts. I wish the coursework had focused more on emerging fields like Internet of Things sensor design. I believe the teaching quality prepared me thoroughly for the essential engineering principles.

    Placements

I am satisfied with the placement opportunities I received, as the college successfully attracted top core companies and major Information Technology firms. The salary packages offered were very competitive for the Electronics and Telecommunication branch. Securing a core engineering job was tough, requiring specific technical knowledge, but the training helped me succeed. I feel the placement support was strong and delivered excellent results.

    Value for Money

I recognize the tuition fees are high, which is typical for a private institute with this level of infrastructure. I feel the cost is somewhat justified by the guaranteed access to premium facilities and strong placement exposure. I am confident my degree has opened valuable doors, providing a worthwhile, albeit expensive, return on investment. I think the cost matches the extensive resources provided.

    Campus Life

I absolutely loved the highly dynamic and non-stop campus life throughout my four years. The technical symposiums and major cultural festivals, especially annual Fest, were unforgettable. I was heavily involved in several departmental clubs and sports. I feel the residential life fostered an incredible sense of community and provided full personal development.

    College Infrastructure

I find the campus facilities absolutely stunning and incredibly vast, which I love exploring. The biotechnology department has state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, which is essential for my dual degree research. I appreciate the comfortable hostels and excellent centralized library for my late-night studying. I feel the college maintains a premier physical environment throughout.

    Academics

I feel the dual degree program is highly rigorous, demanding deep commitment to both engineering and research early on. My professors are experienced, and I find their specialized knowledge in genetics and bio-process engineering very helpful. I am consistently challenged by the coursework, which prepares me for the future master’s thesis. I believe the academic standard is excellent.

    Placements

I recognize that biotechnology placements are more niche than core engineering branches, which concerns me slightly. I know some pharmaceutical and research firms do visit, offering reasonable packages to my seniors. I understand I need to focus on building a strong research portfolio to attract the best opportunities. I believe the placement cell supports my efforts adequately.

    Value for Money

I realize the tuition fees are quite high, as this is a private university, which is a considerable financial outlay. However, I feel the cost is partially justified by the world-class infrastructure and the advanced laboratory access I receive. I am banking on the comprehensive dual degree qualification to provide a high long-term return. I think the value is fair for the quality provided.

    Campus Life

I genuinely love the extremely vibrant and active social scene that defines life here. The sheer number of technical and cultural events is unmatched, giving me many opportunities to take part. I enjoy the extensive sports facilities and the supportive residential environment with my batchmates. I feel campus life is rich and full of constant activity.

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of my college is pretty good. Its really big and well maintained. The buildings are new and clean. My campus is campus 12 its very beautiful, almost every campus has a dedicated garden when students can chill in their spare times. The classrooms are air conditioned and pretty accessible for even people with disabitlities.

    Academics

Academics at KIIT are very strong according to my opinion. I personally have 8.8 cgpa. Teachers can be a bit egotistical sometimes but overall they are very good at teaching. There are a lot of research facilties also in the college.

    Placements

Placements are pretty good with a lots of companies visiting. The average package is also decent. Our seniors got placed in quite good companies. Although placements for core branches are way better but my Branch ECS is also giving good placements. About 85-90 percent students were placed which is a good number. And the average salary range is about 6-8 lakhs.

    Value for Money

I think KIIT is pretty good value for money. If compared to other private colleges it has good placements , a good environment, good exposure , great campus facilities. But mess food and hostel facilities can be improved. Also students get free medical checkups from KIMS which also helps them save a lot in the medical bills.

    Campus Life

Its good as well, events, clubs, fest nights, sports. There's always one or another event going on in the college. Cultural societies are highly enthusiastic and always organise interesting events for us to take part in.

    Others

Kiit provides a balanced college life. Studies mixed with enjoyment. Modern and lifely campus, cool students, active lifestyle, scenic gardens, well maintained libraries and abundance of books to study. It helps us grow academically as well as personally.

All in all a decent good college.

    College Infrastructure

KIIT has pretty much anything and evrything a student can ask for in terms of the infrastructure, there are enough sports facilities, good number of gardens and just greenery for someone who likes to be in the nature. The academic buildings are all equipped with air conditioning due to how hot it gets in bhubaneswar, the laboratories are well maintained some of the desktops in the computer labs are dated but they're currently being updated. All in all its got evrything you'll ever need but sometimes it can be a bit too crowded as some of the extra curricular related things are spread accross the campus and some might be too far from you therefore there ends up being huge crowds in a certain area.

    Academics

Being completely honest no college will ever prepare you for the corporate world but for what it is the staff or the curriculum is not bad it's pretty good. I did CSE in which I had also selected some electives like AI ML and there were also other subjects. Over the years the syllabus has improved for sure. Most of the faculty members are good they can sometimes lack the skill to actually teach as in they have the knowledge but sometimes for certain faculty they're not good and expressing themselves and giving out the knowledge. But in general faculty is pretty good helpful be good to them they'll be good to you.

    Placements

The only reason I'm giving this a 4 and not a 5 start is because of 1 aspect that's clarity. The college brings in huge number of companies like a lot of companies from quite an early stage and they keep coming till you've given you're final exam aswell. A lot of times the eligibility criteria that they mention isn't what they actually go with which can lead to an individual not being shortlisted for an exam. But this only happens with like evey 2 in 10 companies. Overall there will be enough opportunities to get placed with the packages ranging from 3-4 lakhs upto 25-30 lakhs with an avg of around 5-7 lpa.

    Value for Money

The fees is definitely one aspect where KIIT might not be the best for evryone as the fees are generally on the higher side but that's true with most private colleges. It costed me 25 lakhs for the entire 4 years including hostel food tuition fee evrything. It can cost lesser hut I had chosen for the best kind of hostel that KIIT offers which is the 2 bed premium hostel therefore those are eoughli 40 50k more per semester than the cheapest hostel option.

    Campus Life

The campus life now that's depends on the individual I personally did not have the best college life if that's how you wanna frame it and that's more gotta do with the people or the other students than the college. As there can sometimes just be too much crowd around the campus in the evenings me being someone who likes a hut of calm and quite didn't enjoy that a lot. But then coming to activities there's almost every sport facility available, there are enough societies for different different people and talents. Overall not bad just gets a bit crowded.

    College Infrastructure

KIIT is well known for it's infrastructure and facilities. Starting from the hostels, we have well working air conditioners centralized ac in mess and the rooms are spacious aswell and classes having smart boards, ac and spacious

    Academics

I am doing B.Tech in Electronics and Computer Science because i am interested in both the domains like software and hardware and the faculties take good care of our learning with the most updated curriculum

    Placements

The placement scenario in our college is pretty good. Most of the students get their placements on campus and a few off campus with a good package and few getting dream package. We hold a professional reputation in front of companies

    Value for Money

KIIT gives a good return of investment. Our course is costing us 14 lakhs and we do get a package where we get satisfied and get a good return. Overall joining KIIT is not at all a waste of money and we get good assistance

    Campus Life

Our campus life is quite happening where we engage in different societies and host events so we work accordingly and enjoy a lot. KIIT has many options for sports enthusiasts aswell. We have many fantastic sports complex and very good trainers.

Have a question related to KIIT ?

i wanna join in kl University in vijayawada actually i have done my first year in KIIT bhubaneswar with 7.7 cgpa is it possible to join in kl without paying extra money

Yes, you can apply for a transfer from KIIT Bhubaneswar to KL University, Vijayawada, but KL will treat you as a new admission through their lateral entry/transfer policy. This usually means you’ll need to go through their admission process, submit migration/transfer certificates, and get course equivalence approved. However, you will not get a direct fee waiver KL University will charge its own tuition and may not adjust fees already paid to KIIT. You can request concessions through the admissions office, but full transfer without extra payment is generally not possible.

I have 96%Ile in JEE MAIN, obc-ncl, female candidate, homestate- outside odisha Do I have chance to get into KIIT CSE branch? Or which college would you recommend for that %Ile? I would prefer CSE branch.

    Dear aspirant,

With 96 percentile in JEE MAIN, and being an OBC- NCL female candidate you have a decent chance of getting CSE in many good private colleges but not in top NITs unless your OBC rank is within 10,000 . Since you're from outside of Odisha, KIIT doesn't offer state quota advantage , but you can still get CSE there through KIITEE or direct admission if seats are available, as it’s a private university. Some good colleges for you includes Shiv Nadar University, LNCT Bhopal , MIT-WPU, Pune , SRM,VIT, Jaypee Noida . If budget allows, you will get CSE admission in top private colleges. You can visit this link given below for more information.

    Good luck.
