I am currently in the first year..and to be honest when they assigned hostel the first day,I was a not disappointed with its condition. No WiFi for the first year!! Being from the north I thought it will be difficult to merge with the local students..but all my queries came to vault..they are genuinely good students and I have made many friends thanks to no WiFi ,otherwise would have been in a room only ! Infrastructure is decent if not the best ! The campus is pretty big with lots of greenery .By lots, I do mean lots !! Seniors are quite friendly, but they do those senior junior things which are fun actually !! Wardens are very strict on us first-year students and doesn't easily allow us to go anywhere ! Though still in my early days at this college,I feel good ! Faculties and labs are up to the mark. Libraries are awesome.Digital library is a big relief if we miss any lecture !There are gymnasium, swimming pool, and a big ground..physical education is compulsory subject here !! I'm just 1.5 months old here but as I said things are going awesome and I m pretty sure I am going to have one hell of an experience in coming years ! Looking forward to it !!!! And by the way,2 girls among 143 boys in mechanical engineering !! Pretty sad for me,isn't it.

Being a government college little need to be told about our college. Everyone knows the value of this college. We can find students from all corners of India here. There is the good placement as well as supporting group of faculty to encourage you and motivate you. It is no doubt the best college in Kerala.

Rather being in educational institutions, one can feel the romance of falling with machines in case of ME as with me. Technical fests are the best ones not as good as IITs. But cultural fests are most good ones. So, I would suggest my college to anyone.

NIT Brand Speaks For Itself

I did my graduation from NIT Calicut, a deemed university. The college provided me ample opportunities to grow academically and professionally. Some of the professors are really student friendly and have good command in their respective subjects. No doubt that your talent will never get unnoticed. There are several clubs in the college like Dance & Dramatics, ISTE etc and two college fests Tathva and Ragam. The college campus is huge. It has about eight hostels and girls hostel is separated from boys. Climate of Calicut is also pleasant all round the year. Because of reputation attached to NIT brand, on campus placement is more or less easier. For a better career prospectus NIT Calicut is highly recommended.
