As for the current infrastructure, it isn’t too bad either. The library is very well maintained, complete with a reading room and a book bank. Lecture halls are well ventilated, and all computer labs are air conditioned. The campus is fully wi-fi enabled. There are 6 hostels for boys, and 2 for girls, all of which are quite comfortable and cosy. The messes are decent too; students don’t normally complain about the quality of food, which isn’t something you see everywhere.Although the usual suspects like TCS, Patni, Capgemini, Accenture, etc visit campus and offer jobs in bulk, there are also a number of unique recruiters, especially for the core departments like Mechanical and Civil. About 90% of students get placed every year, and most of them in jobs of their choice. Regular recruiters, apart from the usual ones, include HCL, Maruti, Tata Motors, Powerwave, IOCL, Renault, Stone India, etc. Internships are at a premium. Very few are offered, and even they don’t really pay too well. Most companies that pick up students for internships are local firms.

Starting with the first concern academics. Being a NIT, studies here are much of a fun than burden. All faculties are highly experienced and talented, the way they teach reveals it out. But this may vary from student to student . Institution is being continuously improved to the level where you can compete everyone out there. The placement part is improving day by day. The introduction of Masters has increased chances of more and more PBC's to visit the college. The hostel is something where you may have compromise. With no permanent campus 4-6 student are forced to live in a single room ( but you'll survive it's fun). The mess food no talks, you all know what it's like. The location of institute make it a perfect place for studies . love extra curricular and sports the institute is there for you.

Relatively small in size having 30 students in each department. The small number makes it possible for the highly-qualified faculty to give individual attention to each student. At the moment, NIT functions from its temporary campus at Government Polytechnic Srinagar Garhwal.

Our college national institute of technology Uttarakhand. It is a national institute of importance, still we are facing few problems regarding infrastructure. But we have knowledgeable faculty members who work hard to improve the condition of students. We are given good and equal opportunity to develop our theoretical as well as practical knowledge. Extracurricular activities are organized time to time in order to keep students busy in some other aspects other than engineering. I think if we have good support from the government and the local population, we can be among the top colleges in India. At last, I would say that yes, We are proud to be NITIANS.
