Hi Sakshi,

Considering the high cut-offs this year you can expect allotment in one of the following National Law Universities;

1. Rajiv Gandhi National Law University (Slight chance)

2. Tamil Nadu National Law University

3. NUSRL,  Ranchi

4. National Law University and Judicial Academy,  Assam

5. NLU,  Sonepat

6. HPNLU,  Shimla

7. NLU,  Jabalpur

8. MNLU,  Nagpur

Hey.
The notice regarding vacant seats will not be announced by CLAT. It will be done by each NLU on their own websites.
.Vacancies usually occur in the lower NLUs and a few Middle NLUs too if a student who earlier was alloted a seat fails to report or leaves the seat. Hence you cant be sure about the number of vacancies or the colleges where it will happen.
Also vacancies are handled by NLUs themselves amd not CLAT. So you will have to keep a tab on the official websites where notices will be released regarding the same.
So the colleges which might have vacancies are all the lower tier NLUs and in the past year there have been vacancies even in middle NLUs like CNLU Patna, RGNUL Patiala etc.
So you will have to be updated with their websites.
With your rank chances seem fair. But it can't be said for sure so you should try to look for Back up options too. A rank under 3000 would be fair for admission through vacancies. Hence with your rank you seem to have fair chances.
Best of luck

Hello Aspirant,

As you belong to SC category and with the marks you have scored you might have a chances to get into the NLU. Apply and appear for the counselling sessions. Therefore don't lose your hope and keep trying through various counselling rounds. Start looking for the private colleges also on the other hand for safe side.

Good Luck!

Hello,

The first and second round cutoffs for CLAT have already been released. Now regarding vacant seats it depends on many factors and is not predictable that how many vacant seats are availale for spot admissions. It depends the number of seats alloted till the last round of counselling. Now for general category candidates their is always tough competition among them.A rank within 1000 may would have helped you to get admission in atleast 5-6 NLUs.Also the domicile matters alot.

You have scored a good rank for admission in many fo the top government colleges. Also you can try out for private colleges.

Use this college predcitor link https://law.careers360.com/clat-college-predictor.
