National Law School of India University, Bangalore offers admissions to courses at the UG level and at the PG level. NLSIU Bangalore admission is based on the entrance exam. NLSIU BA. LLB. is based on CLAT and LLM admission is based on CLAT PG score. • NLSIU Bangalore B.A LLB admission is based on the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). 

• Candidates seeking admission to B.A ( Hons.) must meet NLSIU BA. LLB. eligibility criteria.

• 25 % of seats are reserved for Karnataka students, candidates applying under the Karnataka students category are required to submit study certificates issued by recognised and affiliated schools with at least 10 years of schooling in Karnataka.

• The list of selected candidates for NLSIU Bangalore will be declared on the basis of CLAT score and selected candidates are required to complete the admission formalities.

• The selected candidates are required to fill out and submit the admission form along with the necessary supporting documents. 

• The selected candidates are required to appear for the interview with Academic administrative staff. 

• An email communication will be sent to the candidates for acceptance of documents if all the submitted documents are in order.

• Candidates must pay the confirmation fee as per the instruction of the CLAT consortium within the stipulated time. 

• After that, the University fee payment has to be done by candidates who selected the freeze option in the counselling process. 

• The selected candidates along with their parents are invited to attend a short introductory interaction with the vice chancellor.

• Final admission is completed after verification of original documents.

National Law School of India University, Bangalore offers admission to Master of Public Policy and LLM courses at the postgraduate level. NLSIU MPP & LL.M Admission is offered to candidates who meet the eligibility criteria. NLSIU MPP admission is based on NLSAT-MPP and NLSIU LL.M admission is based on candidates' score in CLAT PG.

• Candidates need to apply for the courses by filling up the application form from the official website of NLSIU.

• Candidates applying for NLSIU MPP admission must appear for the National Law School admission test for Masters in Public Policy (NLSAT-MPP).

• Based on their scores in NLSAT-MPP, candidates are called for a personal interview.

• Interested candidates are required to participate in the interview process for admission to the MPP programme.

• Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in interviews and NLSIU scores.

• Candidates are required to pay the course fee and submit required documents to confirm admission.

NLSIU Bangalore LLM Admission Process

• NLSIU Bangalore LLM admission is based on CLAT PG.

• Candidates seeking admission to LLM courses must meet NLSIU LLM eligibility criteria.

• 25 % of seats are reserved for Karnataka students, candidates applying under the Karnataka students category are required to submit study certificates issued by recognised and affiliated schools with at least 10 years of schooling in Karnataka.

• The candidates are selected on the basis of CLAT PG score and are required to submit the admission form with the required documents. 

• After that selected candidates are required to appear for an interview.

• The next step is acceptance of documents submitted by the candidates. 

• After checking the documents an email communication will be sent to candidates and candidates are required to pay a confirmation fee and select the freeze option in the counselling process.

• Final admission is complete after payment of the fee within the stipulated time and verification of original documents. 

NLSIU Bangalore Ph.D Admission Process

National Law School of India University, Bangalore offers admission to Ph.D Law and Ph.D Public Policy Integrated at doctoral levels. NLSIU courses are offered in full-time mode for a duration of six years.

NLSIU Bangalore Master of Public Ph.D Admission Process

• Candidates need to apply for the Ph.D programme from the official website of the university.

• Candidates seeking admission to Ph.D programmes must meet NLSIU Ph.D eligibility criteria.

• The application form duly filled up along with a research proposal has to be submitted by the candidate in the month of January. 

• Admission to the Ph.D course is based on an admission test (NLSAT Ph.D). 

• Candidates need to qualify for the entrance examination with at least 50 percent of marks for evaluation of their research proposal and oral presentation.

• Selection of the candidates will be based on the marks obtained in NLSAT Ph.D and oral presentation.

• Final admission is done after the payment of fees and submission of the document.
