The university provides admission to various undergraduate, postgraduate, postgraduate diploma and doctoral courses. NUJS Kolkata admission to B.A. L.L.B (Hons) course is given on the basis of CLAT scores of candidates. In order to enrol into the L.L.M programme, candidates must appear for CLAT PG and obtain a valid score. As per the The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences admission process, candidates need to appear for an entrance examination conducted by the university for admission to the Ph.D programme. Candidates with UGC/SLET/SET/JRF fellowships or having M.Phil. degree are exempted from the entrance exam. Interested candidates can apply for NUJS Kolkata admission via online and offline mode.

The only course offered by the university at the undergraduate level is B.A. L.L.B (Hons). The duration of the course is 5 years and it is divided into 10 semesters of 6 months each. The total of B.A. L.L.B (Hons) programme offered by NUJS Kolkata is Rs. 15,52,000.

Firstly, candidates need to sit for CLAT and obtain a valid score.
Next, they are required to meet the CLAT cutoff and register for CLAT counselling.

At the postgraduate level, the university provides admission to 8 courses. Some of the NUJS Kolkata PG courses are Master of Legislative law (L.L.M), Post Graduate Diploma in Air and Space Law, Post Graduate Diploma in Nuclear Law etc. Candidates should have passed a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university to apply for admission to PG courses.

Candidates wishing to enrol to L.L.M course need to appear for CLAT PG and obtain a valid score.

On the basis of candidates' score in CLAT PG, category, availability of seats and choices filled, candidates are allotted colleges.
Candidates to whom NUJS Kolkata is allotted need to visit the campus.
Complete the admission process by depositing course fees and submitting required documents.
The varsity offers a solo Ph.D programme i.e. Ph.D Law. The duration of the programme is 6 years. The university conducts an entrance examination and a personal interview for admission to Ph.D course.
