The Department of Commerce was established with the objectives of promoting teaching, research, and training in the fields of commerce. The department offers M.Com., M.Phil., and Ph.D. Programmes. The department specializes in Accounting, Taxation, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Insurance, Banking, Finance, Business Environment, and Tourism Development. The department has produced 56 Ph.D.’s and 200 M.Phil’s. Several Research Projects have been carried out with financial assistance from various funding agencies like UGC, ICSSR.
Eligibility Criteria
- A candidate must have passed the B.Com or B.Com (CA)
- Any Degree with Financial Accounting and Cost Accounting / Management Accounting each with a prescribed maximum of 100 marks.
Admission Details
Admission to Master’s degree programmes is based on the marks obtained in both the qualifying examinations and the entrance test.
