The Periyar University Salem Career Guidance and Placement Cell endeavours to get students placed in top reputed companies, government departments, NGOs, private sectors etc. The Periyar University placement cell organises various activities to sharpen the soft and language skills of the students. The Career Guidance and Placement Cell of Periyar University takes charge of the Periyar University placements.

As per the NIRF report 2024-25, 28 UG students placed in 2023 with an average salary of Rs 3.36 lakhs and 161 PG students were placed by Periyar University placement cell with an average salary of Rs 3.12 lakhs. It also acts as a catalyst for job seekers and providers. The cell helps students to get trained, develop and improve their communication and interview skills. The Periyar University cell conducts mocks tests, model tests, group discussions for the benefit of the students. Talks are being arranged by the cell for the students to help them understand the world of work. For seniors, the placements were good, but this year no good placements were offered. The companies which are asking for the sales executive and marketing executive only are coming that provides less salary and heavy work.

Placements

Kaamadhenu College witnessed a whopping INR 29 lacs package from a management consulting company. 3rd year commerce student Reha Grover says this overwhelming offer from Parthenon is the highest package received by the college in the past few years. Above 90 percent of students got placed last year.

They're also providing some placement training for students. The students of the entire college do not get placements from single companies.While we are passing now, they are providing some compensation for placement.

Hi aspirant,

Yes, you can join in other college during your second year of study. It is very easy if the both colleges come under the same University. But you can't do this in national institutes like IITs and central universities. All you need to have is good performance in your academics.
