M.Lib.I.Sc at Periyar University Offline Course

Master of Library and Information Science (M.Lib.I.Sc) is a full-time one-year Postgraduate degree course offered by Periyar University, Salem. The Department of Library and Information Science was established in 2011. The Department has a full-fledged, dedicated and committed a team of faculties with rich research experience. The Syllabus coverage in the Department is on par with international standards. Multimedia technology is used in regular classes. The programmes offered by the Department are M.L.I.S two-year CBCS programme, M.Phil.in Library and Information Science and PhD Research programme. The duration of the Course is Two years. It consists of FOUR Semesters under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). The minimum credit requirement for a two year Master’s programme shall be 90 Credits. The break-up of credits for the programme is as follows:

• Elective/Supportive courses: 22 Credits
