72 MonthsPh.D. program in Economics shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned course offered by Rama Devi Women's University, Bhubaneswar.
Eligibility Criteria
- Women candidates with a Master's Degree securing at least 55% of marks or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) or an equivalent Grade in the concerned subject or related allied subject from any University/ Institution recognized as equivalent thereto by RDWU. The allied subjects for admission into to Ph.D. programme in a particular department shall be decided by the respective Department Research Committee (DRC).
- A relaxation of 5% marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PwD and other categories of candidates as per the State Reservation Policy from time to time or for those who had obtained their Master's Degree before 19th September 1991. A relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above is permissible based only on qualifying marks without including grace marks.
