Admission for MSc Biotechnology is done through centralized Combined Entrance Examination (CEEB) which is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University JNU), New Delhi.
Eligibility Criteria - Candidates should have passed or appearing for (BSc) are eligible to apply.
After entrance test, merit list is prepared accordingly, candidates need to submit required documents along with course fees within stipulated time.
Now, coming to PhD in Biotechnology, for this PhD entrance test is conducted(PET) by the SDPU, candidates can visit admission portal on official website and fill form, however those who've appeared in SET/NET/GATE do not need to appear for entrance test.

Colleges don't choose university based on distance. They have different parameters upon which they judge from where they should take affiliation. As for now VIIT is under Pune university and it 's a autonomous college. It can't change it's affiliation from one university to other. This all are totally dependent upon the College committee members and board members and all are confidential. If they have to do anything they will do it. We shouldn't be concerned about it. there are people who will take care of it.

Most of the colleges give admission in the MBA programme through entrance tests. Candidates have to qualify any one of the national, state and university level exams (as applicable). Then, students have to qualify the other admission rounds (GD, PI & WAT) organized by the respective college where candidates are seeking for admission.
Entrance Exams
Students can apply through national, state and university level exams to get admission in management courses. Candidates can appear in the MAH CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) for admission in MBA courses. Various colleges and institutions of Maharashtra also give admission through CAT , MAT , XAT & CMAT entrance tests. The SIU conducts SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) exam for providing admission in MBA programmes offered by SIU and its constituent colleges.
First of all, candidates have to qualify the entrance test to get admission in MBA programme. Candidates should check their eligibility before applying. Here we have mentioned the basic eligibility to apply for MBA programme:
Candidates must have qualified the graduation degree from any recognized college or university.
Graduate students from any stream can apply for admission.
In the qualifying exam, candidates should have obtained minimum 50% (45% for reserved categories) marks.
Final year appearing students are also eligible to apply.
Selection Procedure
MBA admission will be done through entrance exams. After qualifying the entrance test, candidates have to participate in the counselling process organized by the respective college. Counselling process will comprise of various steps like registration, fee payment, document verification, group discussion, personal interview, seat allotment, etc. The seat will be allotted to students on the basis of category, rank in the entrance test, performance in admission rounds and availability of seats. In case of vacant seats, admissions may also be done through the merit list of the qualifying exam.
