SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai is the first Women’s university was established in 1916. SNDT Mumbai is a state university that offers admissions at the diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels. SNDT Women’s University courses are offered in various streams such as Law, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Education, Commerce, Media, Mass Communication and Journalism, Computer Applications, Law, Pharmacy, Medical and Allied Sciences, Management and Business Administration. SNDT Women’s University admissions for B.A./B.Sc./B.Com courses are merit based. For SNDT Mumbai B.Tech. admission, students need to clear MHT CET. Admissions to M.A. and M.Sc. courses are merit-based. However, for admission to M.Sc. Food and Nutrition the university conducts an entrance test. For admission to the MSW course, candidates need to pass the respective entrance examination, followed by a written test, group discussion, and personal interview. And for admissions to B.Ed. and M.Ed. courses, candidates need to appear for MAH CET.

By providing various scholarships to deserving and meritorious students having an exceptional academic record SNDT Women's University strives to support students in their academic journey. Some of these SNDT Women's University scholarships are offered for UG, and PG degrees. Eligible students who meet the scholarship criteria can apply for the SNDT Women's University Scholarships. Interested candidates can directly apply for these scholarships and receive the scholarship amount upon fulfilling the eligibility requirements. However, the scholarships shall be applicable only for the current academic year and the student would have to reapply for the scholarship in the next year.

This Scholarship is for 1 regular student in 3rd Year of the UG Programme and 1 regular student from 1st year of the PG Programme, conditioning his family income does not exceed Rs. 20,000/- pm, UG candidate should be among the top 10 in the 2nd year, PG candidate should be among first 10 in last cleared exam, and the applicant should not be beneficiary of any other scholarship.
The scholarship amount for UG students will be Rs. 30000/- per year, divided in two instalments, Rs. 15000/- in Semester -I and Rs. 15000/- in semester - II and for PG student will be Rs. 60000/- per year, divided in two instalments, Rs. 30000/- in Semester -I and Rs. 30000/- in semester -II only if the 6 monthly progress report of the applicant, duly signed by the principal of the constituent college of SNDT Women’s University is found satisfactory.
This Scholarship is for 1 regular student of the PG Programme, conditioning his family income does not exceed Rs. 20,000/- pm, UG candidate should be among top 10 in 2nd year, and the applicant should not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship.
The scholarship amount for the student awardee will be Rs. 25000/- per year and will be divided in two instalments, Rs. 10000/- in Semester 1 and Rs. 15000/- in semester II only if the 6 monthly progress report of the student who has been awarded the scholarship, duly signed by the Head of the concerned University Department of SNDT Women’s University is found satisfactory.
3 research fellowships of Rs 50000/- each or two of 75000/- each for a period of 6 months are offered under this scholarship, conditioning the research should aim at retrieving and /or generating archival material in areas such as Lives of 20th-century women who have contributed to Gender Justice, Health, Liberal Arts, Women’s Education, Women’s Empowerment, Women’s Entrepreneurship, Women’s contribution in any other field.
Yes it has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment which a student , teacher and staff needed.libraries are well maintained.classroom and laboratories are nice and have advanced technology too .they have renovated the college
The infrastructure, facilities and equipment in our college is good . Facilities in library is good .They maintain our college properly there is no issue with it.Living spaces is clean and food is also hygienic.
Yess it has necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. Libraries are well maintained. Hostels are good. Classrooms and laboratories are better than before. They have renovated the whole college.

SNDT WOMEN's UNIVERSITY, Mumbai is a state university which is a Government university, approved by UGC. The university only offers admission to the womens. The degree of MBA is offered by the university, but the course isn't available in the main campus of the university. Instead, the course is offered by one of its affiliated college namely Jankidevi Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai . The college have 60 seats for the course and the fees for the course is around Rs. 15 Lacks for the entire duration.
