College Infrastructure
Yess it has necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. Libraries are well maintained. Hostels are good. Classrooms and laboratories are better than before. They have renovated the whole college.
Academics
I'm studying B.sc in food nutrition and dietetics. I'm wanting to be a dietitian. I'm in 2nd year for now. Quality if teaching is good. Yess the curriculum is updated and also it is developed. Yes my study might make me job ready.
Placements
As far I heard from seniors, the placements are good enough. I have no idea about how many of students were placed. Not much information about the salary package and average salary offered. Yes my college is supportive.
Value-for-money
My college fees per year were around 27,000 Rs. Yes I will I'm getting my money's worth because of the facilities and teaching equipments. Even they provide us with their railway and airways concession for hostel students.
Campus Life
As they have renovated the whole college it is now much better. We have good computer labs, kitchen labs and libraries. Only worst thing is we don't have proper seating arrangements and canteen is too small for us. Yess the teachers and non teaching staff are supportive. Yess the location is totally safe.
Anything Else
College is good at its academics. Well teaching staff and non teaching staff. Got new and good friends there. Teaching got a bit easy as teachers give their best. Overall rating I can give my college would be 8/10.

I think choosing to do my Master's from this university was the best decision of my life. I was exposed to various aspects of literature , to critically think and analyse issues. The professors are one of the best people you can find anywhere. They are friendly and constantly push you off your comfort zones. Students are encouraged to speak in class and express their viewpoints on the issues which are being discussed. Apart from that the department also organizes various lectures and workshops by prominent speakers from various fields which helps students in knowing different viewpoints. We were also provided with an internship as part of the course in our final semester. The university also provides the students with hostel facility which provides access to students from other parts to benefit from the course. It is an important aspect of this course as it enhances the classroom dynamics. Students from all over India join the course and share their opinions which helps in engaging with a topic from a different perspective. Apart from that we also have to submit a research dissertation in the final semester which familiarizes us with different types of research and builds our analysis ability. The library is also well-equipped with books and digital resource material for our research.

In terms of the course, you could not ask for a better one. The syllabus given by the PG department of English at SNDT Women's University is quite different from what I have seen in other universities, at least in Mumbai. I got to learn of a lot of new ideas, points of view, and the literary world in general. The teachers are very resourceful and take troubles to enlighten us, encouraging us to attend off-campus talks, plays, festivals and also the occasional field trip which turned out to be very interesting. But, they do need to work on creating a proper lecture schedule and completing the syllabus on time. Another drawback I think is the library. While it is very extensive and contains an enormous variety of books, it is difficult to find them on the shelves even with an online catalogue. Sometimes they aren't arranged in order or misplaced which creates chaos. But the faculty is ready to help whenever needed. There are computers with internet access too, which work most of the time (servers are down sometimes). You can also access the WiFi with the permission of the librarian. The university has access to online information portals like JSTOR, ebsco and many others which aid research or assignments. The infrastructure is satisfactory, however there are eight floors in the building and two (small) elevators. Getting to the class can be a task when you have to line up to get into the elevator. (I use the stairs though, - to the sixth floor - which is very tiring). But the lifts work just fine, only thing is you have to wait. Cleanliness is great, washrooms are spotless most of the time, canteen is not that great (in my opinion). There are lot of eateries around the campus though. Several fests and events organised continually too on campus, a lot of opportunity. The auditorium is quite good too. All the students at the university are also quite polite, helpful and cooperative for the most part. Our seniors were fun and helped out, giving advice. Most of them are very well employed now. Lastly, the fees - for the English MA course it is a little over Rs. 7000.

A good college can be analyzed on the basis of 3 main criteria: 1) Faculty: Pretty darn bad. Some of the teachers are really good and thorough with their subjects. Note the word "some". Most are lazy bureaucratic bums who are there to just harass students and hold grudges to the point of ruining their lives. They do not teach anything in class and expect us to make fire from a bucket of water. 2) Infrastructure: though the university campus is decent, the college has the worst infra. Barely 2 PCs in a lab of 25-40 work. The bathrooms are beyond abysmal and the building unimpressive. 3) placements: this is based on luck factor. Most years the placements are pretty amazing with Microsoft picking 2 of our students in 2 different years. J P Morgan, Barclay's and Colgate are regulars besides the mass recruiters like Accenture, HSBC etc. But you have to work hard at your pre-interviews tests and your GPA. The crowd is very creative. In spite of the bad faculty and terrible infra, the place is not so hopeless because you end up meeting the best of people here. You also have plenty of opportunities to participate in intercollege events. The fests and events and even the bad experiences with the faculty will help you bond and make friends for life.
