B.Sc Agriculture Hons - Batch of 2024-01-01
Academics
The faculty of the College Of Agriculture, Pune is of very good quality. Each teacher had done PhD in their subjects. The teachers are supportive in nature and always try to solve the problems and queries of the students. The teaching method of teachers is different hence students have to adjust to their teaching method. As per the new updated syllabus, the last semester students have to visit the industries. Firstly they have to complete the village attachment and then they have to complete the unit attachment.
College Infra
The infrastructure of the hostel is pretty good. Each room of the hostel is shared by three students. Each room has two beds, two chairs, two tables and two cupboards. The admission of hostel is based on the merit of the students, hence one have to secured average marks for getting hostel. One should have to pay rent of 2k for hostel room. After completion of each semester I. e. after each six months students have to pay rent to the hostel room. The cost of meal is not included in this fee structure. Students have to pay separately for the meal for each month. The meal provided by hostel is of average quality
Campus Life
1 week full of events happens here once every year there is big playground and sports events which I took part in that is cricket tournament, so it's fun.
Placements
As when I was studing there were hardly any placement, but now the companies like Mahindra, etc. visited the college. The students are hired by these companies and the package of the job depends upon the performance of the students. Also, the students have job opportunities in the agriculture sector such as Agri banking, Agri MPSC, etc.
Value For Money
My fees including hostel and mess expenses per year was 22000 rs .and I got OBC subsidy as well.

this college offers varies courses related to agriculture like Bsc Msc Mtech and Phd as well and also provides extension reserc works for the farmers support teachers are well in experienced taughts as well icar syllabus
College Infra
MPKV have vey big and well kept campus we have also have libary, computer labs ans smart tv classsrooms also it provides hostel facilities but hostel is not so good mostly prefer outside to saty and also have cctv survillence
Placements
placemens are lightly there very small companies will come realated to FMCG dairy industries and other fertilizers companies offer only less packeges for the students overall i dont have any good opion about the placemenst in the college

B.Sc Agriculture Hons - Batch of 2024-01-01
Academics
Teachers here are mostly helpful and know their stuff about farming. Curriculum covers 8 semesters with practicals like crop growing and pest control. We do hands on work in fields which helps learn real. But some courses are outdated like old pesticides. Exams are every few months moderate tough. Not enough profs sometimes due to vacancies but still we get good knowledge for bsc agri hons.
College Infra
The campus at MPKV Rahuri is big and nice with lots of green fields for experiments. They got labs for soil and plants but some equipments are old and not always working good.
Library is big with many books but no wifi in classes.
Sports ground is there and gym too but washrooms need better cleaning. Hostel is okay affordable but mess food is average. Overall its good for agri studies.
Campus Life
Campus is beautiful with big area and trees feels peaceful.
Sports like cricket and events happen often. Cultural programs and dances are fun.
Friends from different places make it lively. No ragging issues and safe for girls.
Canteen food okay but we hangout there. Weekends we visit nearby rahuri town. Overall enjoyable life here.
Placements
Placements are not great but some companies come like Bayer and ITC for sales jobs. Around 60-70% get placed with packages from 2.5 to 7 lpa average 4 lpa. Many go for pg or govt exams instead. Placement cell helps with internships at syngenta or upl. For freshers its okay but need more companies visiting campus. Banks also hire for agri officers.
Value For Money
Fees are low since its govt college about 10-15k per year so very affordable.
You get good education and degree for less money. Hostel and mess also cheap.
Compared to private colleges its worth it for bsc agri. Facilities are decent for the price and helps in getting jobs or further study. No waste of money here if you into farming.
