Sonu, admission to Master's courses in Tata Institute of Social Sciences occurs through TISSNET. Now, you can apply for TISSNET if you fulfill the conditions required as stipulated by the institution. These conditions are known as eligibility criteria. Now, the eligibility criteria for applying for TISSNET in terms of educational qualification in most cases ie for admission to most courses is that the candidate should be graduate in any stream or discipline or he/she must be appearing in their final graduation paper and have to submit their passing certificate by any date stipulated. As far as you are graduate, you can apply for most cases, however, for some courses like MA (Organisation Development, Change and Leadership), Master of Public Health (Social Epidemiology), M.A. Social Work in (Disability Studies and Action) etc , the requirement is that graduation should be from a certain stream or subject or there should be some job or internship experience for the candidates. As regards to query about choice of specialization, the choice should be such that should generate interest and entertain you. Tata Institute Of Social Science have separate exam called TISS-BAT,Candidate who want to apply for B.A course can apply for this exam.The exam will be online based ,Candidates are expected to give preference for 1 center in the online application.The Institute reserves the right to direct the candidate to one of the Centers chosen by the candidate or to another nearest Center.

M.A in Human Resource Management and Labour Relations

Undoubtedly the best course offered at the Mumbai campus. Equivalent to MBA in HR and is treated as the countrys second best programme in HR, after the HRM course offered by XLRI Jamshedpur.


Master of Health Administration and Master of Hospital Administration

You may expect a decent career start through these courses. However, these are pretty niche courses and will restrict your career to Health Industry. So, go for it only if you are sure to work only in this industry. Though in long term, you may always get into consulting profile for Healthcare industry.

M.A in Development Studies

Another decent course offered by TISS Mumbai, though the placements are not at par with a front line premier institute. However, it does provide a good platform for one to launch the career exposure wise, though not monetarily.

M.A in Climate Change and Sustainability Practices

Recently launched course and hence still has to prove the mettle in corporate arena. However, from long term perspective, Climate Change and Sustainability Practices is definitely among one of the great areas to build your career in.

In all India counseling defence quota is not considered however in some state counseling it is there therefore if you go for all India counseling your cut off will be according to normal one cutoff. You'll have to check for your state though.

Yes, you can give TISS (Tata Institute of Social Sciences) Exam. TISS exam is online national level entrance exam for post graduate course.

There are eligibility for TISS Exam as:-

•A candidate should have bachelor degree from any recognized university.

•It does not require 50 percentage in bachelor degree.

TISSNET application form 2020 is available online and offline, from October 18, 2019 but the registration are closed now (December 9, 2019) and Tata Institute of Social Sciences will conduct TISSNET for batch 2020-2022 in online mode on January 4, 2020 (2 pm - 3: 40 pm). The result will be declared on February 4, 2020.

Well, in order to get admissions in Xlri, Xlri gives 60% weightage to Xat score and 25% weightage to Gd and Pi and remaining 15% is given to work experience, academics, essay writing, and other

If you perform excellent in Xat and its gd pi and wat process, then you can be a call holder for xlris

And when it comes to Tiss, it does not give any weightage to academic scores. And as per the change in the tiss exam 2020.

If you are applying for hr course and organizational development course, you have to now give tiss matt exam also. Which will be conducted immediately after tiss net and you can know about that exam from official website

Basically i want to tell you your first merit list will be of 100 % weightage to tiss net and if you qualify tiss net with sectional cut off of 35% marks for general awareness section as well.

Your tiss mat exam will then be considered.

And final merit list will be based upon 30% tiss mat, 40% for pre interview test and 30% to personal interview test.

So this is the crucial exam pattern change which you have to keep in your mind while preparing for your tiss exam 2020.
