Eligibility Criteria
- A Candidate must have passed Minimum marks for admission to the unreserved seats in all MA/MSc/MCom course of studies under Faculty Councils of Science & Arts is 50% at the honors level in the concerned subject as the regular course of studies. For candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ DA/ SP categories, eligibility is minimum of 45% marks in honors in the relevant subject.
- No candidate having obtained graduation/ post-graduate degree from an Open University or through Distance Education Mode is eligible to apply for admission to any courses of postgraduate studies.

Good state government university for degree courses

Being one of the prominent universities in west bengal, University of Burdwan has all kinds of infrastructure facilities and equipments. In the classes projectors, and white and blackboards are there. The library is good and well maintained. It has separate hostel for boys and girls but I never been to the hostel that's why I don't know about that much.
