University of Burdwan hostel facilities include 6 separate hostels for boys. The cumulative accommodation capacity of the hostels is 951. These hostels are well-equipped with all items of basic facilities. 

The university has 5 hostels for girls exclusively that have a joint capacity of accommodating a large number of girl students. The hostels are kept clean and are spacious enough for comfortable accommodation of the students.  

The university has medical facilities for its students and staff. The Health Centre also provides medicines to the outdoor patients. Burdwan University medical facilities include medical experts to give advice on medicines and other emergencies. 

The Central Library is housed in a two-storied building in the Golapbag campus. There are 19 departmental libraries in the Golapbag campus attached to the respective departments. The library and its resources are easily accessible to all students. The library also has digital resources for students and faculty members. The Central Library remains open on all days except University holidays and Sundays. 

The university has facilities for both indoor and outdoor sports at the campus. A well-maintained football field and a basketball court are present at the University of Burdwan. Students can play a sport of their choice during free time.

The University has implemented campus-wide Fibre Optic LAN with a Gigabit backbone at the academic campus (Golapbag). All the departments and sections are connected to the Computer Centre through this LAN. Burdwan University IT Infrastructure facilities also include good connectivity to internet,

Various departments of the university have dedicated laboratories. Burdwan University lab facilities allow students to do practicals and experiments at the campus only and that too without any hindrance.

University of Burdwan facilities also include an auditorium that is made easily accessible to students and staff for conducting various events, seminars and other activities.

The university has a cafeteria or canteen from where the students can eat healthy and tasty food and that too at reasonable rates. The food is prepared in hygienic conditions.
