    Established in the year 1960, Kalyani University is a state public university approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The varsity is accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ grade. In NIRF University Ranking 2020, the University of Kalyani got 89th position. The Department of Computer Science Engineering, Department of Engineering & Technological Science and Department of Business Administration of the varsity are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). As per the official website of the university, its mission is to promote interdisciplinary research and a balance between basic and applied research programmes. University of Kalyani, Kalyani has been ranked 89 in the NIRF ranking 2020 in the university category.

    The university provides diploma, integrated, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degrees. There are a total of 78 courses offered by Kalyani University. Admission to its different programmes is given on the basis of entrance exam scores and merit of the last qualifying examination as well. The university accepts WBJEE and WB JECA for admission in B.Tech and M.Sc. programmes respectively.     To make sure students do not face any inconvenience during their time at the campus, the university has modern facilities and infrastructure. University of Kalyani facilities are a library with an adequate number of books, a separate hostel for boys and girls students, a well-equipped gym for physical fitness of students and many more.     University of Kalyani Admissions

    In order to take admission in programmes offered by the university, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria of the desired programme. Kalyani University admission to the B.Tech course is given based on candidates WBJEE score. For M.C.A. admission, the varsity accepts WB JECA. CAT/MAT/JEMAT/CMAT scores are accepted for admission in the M.B.A. programme. As per the University of Kalyani admission policy, 80% of seats in the postgraduate programmes are reserved for candidates who have completed their undergraduate degree from Kalyani University.     University of Kalyani Scholarships

    The students of the university can avail various university level, state level and University Grants Commission (UGC) scholarships offered by the university. Kalyani University scholarships (university level) are University Merit Scholarship and University Merit-cum-Means Scholarship. Kalyani University placement cell invites companies and provides training to students.
