The Department of Business Administration in Kalyani University was initially established in the year 1960 and is one of the most reputed constituent colleges situated in Kalyani, West Bengal. This co-ed college is an AICTE, All India Council for Technical Education-approved institution, which ensures the best quality education.

It has an array of facilities to support the students' all-around growth. It is also a knowledge centre as it contains vast resources of books, periodicals, and current information to meet the university's needs. With regard to health and wellness, this institution features a very well-established Health Centre with a multi-gym that comes under the supervision of the Department of Physical Education. Also, there exists an on-campus auditorium that caters to events and seminars, general sports facilities for all-round development, and a guest house for the guests that visit. There are three courses in total, all being full-time. They include MBA, a Diploma in Healthcare and Hospital Management, and Ph.D. in Business Administration. The intake for the MBA programme is approved with an intake of 60 seats, and for the Diploma course, it is 15.

The admission procedure varies from course to course. To the MBA course, the candidates are selected through a national-level entrance examination such as CMAT/MAT/CAT/JEMAT followed by Personal Interview and Group Discussion. Admission to Diploma in Healthcare and Hospital Administration is done on the basis of Admission Test followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview. In the case of the Ph.D. course, admission will be provided according to Regulations of Ph.D. and UGC Norms. Scores of various popular Management Entrance Examinations, like CAT, MAT, CMAT, and JEMAT, are accepted by the Department.
