72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Women Studies is six years program offered at Utkal University, Bhubaneswar.
Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
Master degree holders having secured at least 55% of marks in the subject concerned of Utkal University or any other University recognized as equivalent by Utkal University are eligible to take admission.
Admission Details
Admission into PhD coursework provided they qualify through a written test followed by an interview. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST category shall be given a relaxation of 5% of marks at Masters Level (i.e. 50%). The candidates qualifying UGC-CSIR-NET/ GATE/ SLET/ DBT/ ICMR/ ICHR/ ICSSR/ INSPIRE Fellowship of DST/ Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship/Any other equivalent examination as will be approved by the Vice-Chancellor from time and are exempted from written test only.
