24 MonthsMaster of Computer Application (MCA) is a two-year full-time postgraduate course offered by Uttaranchal University, Dehradun.
Eligibility Criteria
- The student should have passed B.C.A/ B.Sc. (Computer Science)/ B.Sc. (IT) / B.E. (CSE)/ B.Tech. (CSE) / B.E. (IT) / B.Tech. (IT) or equivalent Degree OR passed any graduation degree (e.g., B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. / B.Com. / B.A./ B. Voc./ etc.), preferably with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduation level.
- For students having no Mathematics background compulsory bridge course will be framed by the respective University/ Institution, and additional bridge courses related to computer subjects as per the norms of the concerned University.
- Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the qualifying examination.
Admission Details
- Admission is based on merit computed on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination. The university also conducts interviews of all applicants before admitting the eligible candidates.
- Out of the total intake, 25% seats are allotted to students of Uttarakhand under the State Quota, and the rest are open to students from all over India. In case the allotted percentage of seats ofthe State Quota remains vacant, it will be filled by All India students.

College Infrastructure
Uttranchal university is a very good university in regards of its infrastructure and facilities it has a huge infrastructure with modern facilities You get modern classes with wifi all over the campus , library having computers for you to get your work done And both the hostel of boys and girls are inside the campus You get a huge cafeteria with great food and the playing field and court is amazing too
Environment is peaceful and good.

The Infrastructure of the MCA department is quite good. The Computer labs are functional and provide access to necessary software for programming and project work. On the downside, the medical and sports facilities are quite limited, and the food quality in the hostel mess needs significant improvement.
