72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including coursework and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the VIT-AP University, Amaravati.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s degree in Engineering / Technology in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks (of all the years /semesters) wherever marks are awarded, or a CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale in cases where letter grades are awarded or Equivalent qualifications like M.Sc. (Engineering) / M.S. [By Research] / M.Tech. [By Research]
- M.Sc. Computer Science, M.Sc. (IT), and MCA degree holders are eligible to apply for a Ph.D. Programme in Computer Science Engineering / Information Technology
- For all research programmes, it is mandatory that candidates should have studied their previous degree programmes (UG and PG) in the regular, full-time mode.
