The department has efficient faculty members and research laboratory equipped with advanced instruments concentrating in Formulation Development. Research in Pharmaceutics focuses on areas related to Drug Delivery and it emphasizes the advances in the formulation, drug targeting, and multi-model therapy. Formulation research includes drug therapy, cosmeceuticals, nutritional biomaterials, and nano-pharmacy. Core research focuses on pre-formulation, biocompatibility, computer-aided drug delivery, and pharmacokinetic studies.

Full-time course is for a minimum period of three years and for a part-time course is for a minimum period of five years.
