PhD or Doctor of Philosophy is a research-based study course that allows the candidates to learn through conducting experiments and drawing conclusions. PhD can be done in all the fields including both theoretical and practical. Pharmacology and Toxicology are the branches of science which determine the actions of the various drugs on the body, cell signalling pathways, mechanisms, associated safety aspects, common adverse effects, etc. It is the study of the various interactions that occurs between chemicals/ drugs and living organisms that affect any normal or abnormal biochemical function. Candidates should be self-motivated, should have adaptability, self –discipline, and patience to become successful in this field.

Full-time course is for a minimum period of three years and for a part-time course is for a minimum period of five years.
