Agricultural College, Bapatla was established in the year 1945, and it is a premier constituent college at Bapatla in the district of Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. The Agricultural College at Bapatla offers courses in agricultural programs. The college offers 23 full-time undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. The flagship program among them is BSc (Hons) Agriculture, with an approved intake of 240. The various MSc programs offered are in specialized fields like Agronomy, Entomology, and Genetics and Plant Breeding, and Agricultural Economics. It also provides avenues for advanced research in the form of Ph.D. degree programs in Agronomy, Plant Pathology, and Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry
Admission to the Agricultural College, Bapatla is very intense as the selection is merit-based only. For undergraduate admissions, admission shall be provided on the ranks obtained in AP EAMCET conducted by the state government. Else than this, selection from Agricultural Polytechnic backgrounds decides on the ranks obtained in AGRICET. Merit, presidential order, region, social status etc are the other factors taken up for the selection process. In case of programs of studies after the UG degree, the selection is made on the basis of the undergraduate academic record of the candidate and his/her performance in the All India Entrance Examination for Admission conducted by ICAR. Weightage is provided in the ratio of 30:70 for academic record and entrance test performance, respectively.
In case of enrolment for the Doctoral Program, the following factors shall be considered before the final decision is reached: the candidate's Undergraduate and Postgraduate academic records, performance at the All India Competitive Examination (AICE) conducted by ICAR, and Interview. For Ph.D. the weight distribution is 10:30:50:10 for undergraduate record, postgraduate record, AICE performance, and interview, respectively. The college accepts the AP EAMCET scores for the undergraduate program, and the exam is typically taken in the month of May, each year. Good infrastructure including sport equipment,and new infrastructure has been under construction and it will give a new look altogether with new enthusiasm and new hostel building is also being under construction.

Yes placements takes place in the college, but also it depends which course are your pursuing and which companies visits the college campus for recruitment. Also, every department has different placement process. So, guarantee of a job is not must , it also depends on your academics performance and attendance.
