AJ Institute of Engineering and Technology, Mangalore, also known as AJIET, is promoted by Laxmi Memorial Education Trust. AJIET, Mangalore was registered in the year 1991 in memory of the Late Laxmi Shetty, mother of Dr. A.J. Shetty, who is the president and managing director of the trust. 

AJ Institute of Engineering and Technology, Mangalore offers various courses in the Department of Engineering such as Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Basic Science and Humanity.
