Akal College of education is one of the most renowned institute of education located in Mastuana Sahib, Sangrur which started in 2005. This co education college is an affiliated college of Punjabi University, Patiala and aims at producing future educators. Recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) the college provides three professional courses in education. Akal College of Education is located in a campus of 200 acres and offers its 205 total enrolled students and a total faculty staff of 14 persons. It has been established that the institute is dedicated to offering quality education in its various programmes such B.Ed , M.Ed and Post Graduate Diploma in Career Guidance.

A M.Ed programme which is a masters degree in education is specialised in a direction of education and the second one, a Postgraduate Diploma in Career Guidance prepare students to develop specialised skills in career counseling.
