AKM Polytechnic College, Kollam, founded in the year 2020, is one of the new generation institutions affiliated to Kollam Educational District situated at Kannanalloor, Kollam, Kerala. This affiliated college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education which maintains the quality technical education. Located in a vast compound of 13 acres, AKM Polytechnic College currently has 4 diploma courses in engineering branches. An interesting fact about this institute is that this institute can boast of a resolute faculty strength of 29 members who give required attention and care to students. Believing that practical knowledge is more important than academic knowledge, the college intends to produce qualified employees adapted to the engineering field.

Making customer friendly environment and equipping the college with modern facilities has been our policy. It is a reference library containing over 11, 000 books on 1250 different titles, in addition to national as well as international journals in Engineering and Applied Science streams. Students can read e-journals and even use multimedia computer facilities for other reference information’s. Besides, the campus has spacious playgrounds for inter and intra college tournaments in games such as volley ball, football, cricket, badminton and hockey etc. AKM Polytechnic College takes adequate care of out-station students and provides them comfortable accommodation through boys and girls hostels. AKM Polytechnic College includes four full time diploma programmes and all are three years in duration. These programmes are Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
